Yep. Wonder why the impetus to bring back scoops after all the teams went through getting rid of them?
Not allowed?? What's prohibiting them now? I've seen a few Mustang Pro Stockers in recent years. And as fas as Mopar goes, seems like that's a corporate choice, and given the current state of Stellantis, Mopar might not even be around by 2030 (sadly). GM, Ford, and Stellantis all see to be doing away with "cars" and making all things SUV/Crossover.
Every time Mopars start out performing the GM cars, NHRA always steps in with a rule change that seems to adversely affect the Mopars most. The RPM limit was the last straw. Everybody and his brother told the Mopars they were now in a race to the back of the pack. Just go back through Pro Stock history and there are countless examples of slowing Mopars to the benefit of the GMs, beginning with allowing Grumpy Jenkins to run a tube chassis Vega, with an insane weight break, in 1972.
Who expects manufacturer support to continue with an uneven playing field?

No offense, but I think that's an over-generalization or hyperbole. And I've heard that same argument in the NASCAR circles too. Where were the Mopars in the 80s when Glidden was rampaging through the circuit?
But to state that they "aren't allowed" isn't accurate. There's no rule/reg prohobiting them. Discouraged? Maybe, but I wouldn't buy into that either.
I get the whole thing about Grumpy 50 years ago, but if Mopar was "targeted" they sure did sponsor many a national event for a long, long time. certainly more than GM. Must not have bothered them too much.
You can't start doing that. If your Pro Stock engine isn't competitive at 10,500RPM then it's up to you to do something about it, not allow Mopar Hemis 11,500 because they aren't competitive at 10.5. Besides, you're free to put a KB Titan DRCE in your Dodge Durango if that's what you choose to run.
While it's no secret NHRA shows favoritism to GM the main problem is no support from Ford and Stellantis who no longer have any interest whatsoever in NHRA Pro Stock. Maybe they would if electric motors were allowed.
Without factory support, nobody is going to take on the monumental expense to create an engine that will run with the DRCE under the current rules. So you can either convince NHRA to revert back to 11500, buy stock in a valve spring company and dust off your Hemis, or keep doing what you're doing now.
What else would you call it when the rules are always changed to the detriment of the Mopars?

I don't think every rule change was intentionally to hurt Mopar, despite perceptions. And I wouldn't think Mopar would still pour in the sponsorship monies they have if so. But who knows what goes through the tech minds with changes they make. I'd say probably more done in PSM to hurt Harley's but then I don't know. I can believe it but I don't really know.
Probably won't matter anyhow in 3-5 years when there are no cars left and everything is SUV/CUV/truck.
When only one manfacturer is adversely affected to the benefit of others, and forces the one manufacturer to pack up, I don't know any other way to look at it.
As far as the sponsorship monies, there is none going to PS. And don't get me started on what has happened in Factory X.
Too bad NHRA didn't learn from their early '70s PS mistakes. Even Wally Parks regretted effectively legislating the Hemis out of competition.
