Every time Mopars start out performing the GM cars, NHRA always steps in with a rule change that seems to adversely affect the Mopars most. The RPM limit was the last straw. Everybody and his brother told the Mopars they were now in a race to the back of the pack. Just go back through Pro Stock history and there are countless examples of slowing Mopars to the benefit of the GMs, beginning with allowing Grumpy Jenkins to run a tube chassis Vega, with an insane weight break, in 1972.
Who expects manufacturer support to continue with an uneven playing field?
Do any of the current field of PS cars, regardless of the body style, run anything beside the GM based engine platform?
