IHRA Top Fuel Class Rules? (1 Viewer)

Can anybody tell me if the IHRA rules for Top Fuel will differ significantly than the NHRA rules, and if so, in what way? Are there plans in place to run the IHRA Fuelers for the full 1320'? How about reducing costs for the IHRA Top Fuel teams, in comparison to NHRA?

Any insight or information would be greatly appreciated.

Top Fuel at the Nationals has been 1320'.

There are no rules available ,they are still being formed ...
The CEO said in two conference calls with racers that the cars would be different from NHRA ,
and would cost around 1.5 million per season to operate - they are planning to run 1320' ...

Really looking forward to how this pans out!

Make the Rules such that the dragsters and funny cars are equal in performance and can compete in the same class. This will double the potential to draw enuff cars for full fields and certainly distinguish IHRA racing from NHRA racing.

......... dragsters and funny cars are equal.......
The T/F cars are planned to also run overseas as a different car than NHRA - they will be called D1...
The other existing IHRA car classes are planned to remain the same and only race on the North American continent.

IHRA has no interest in competing with NHRA with a similar program -
they are planning for TV and streaming media with one hour shows...
The third up-date conference call with racers was mostly about overseas and TV plans...
