holy cow 7.66!........pep boys shootout to air @ 7pm EST today on FS1......afternoon 90 min. FOX network show turns into nothing but interviews and bumper music.
i know they're up against it, but to waste 90 min. of national network time. what a bummer.

Quickest pass in FSS history with the first pair to hit the track and they just went even quicker with a 7.66. Mark Pawuk ended up low with a 7.60.
At 183.15mph, in a Dodge Challenger. Let's hope NHRA doesn't decide to punish the Mopars with a weight penalty. And with even better (if not too cold) conditions along with a 20+mph tailwind tomorrow, those numbers might not stand.

They’re running the FSS cars now and then TA cars to help get some rubber down on the track before going to the fuel classes.
That help will early. 300ft down track might be a different story early to mid-way into the top fuel session.

Some good numbers with both Alky classes. Matt Gill knocked it out of the park in TA/FC 5.422 273.83. Now I wanna see a .30..... Julie Nataas 5.177 is pretty good (!). Dan Mercier at 280...

Following on NHRA Live Timing. T/F, so far, Tripp Tatum 3.674 - 331 is best. Kinda like he did at Phoenix. Waiting for Call Out to start. I REALLY hope they get all the Q in today. Also hope the track doesn't get too cold to run.

Brittany 337.75, has got to be top five speeds in top fuel history! Could we see 340 tomorrow? For the last two days I've said 2nd round and later I fully expect a national record in Top fuel.

Nah. NHRA would never punish the Mopars for outrunning the GMs and Fords. Where's that sarcasm button?

At the moment, the density altitude is -327 ft. And the water grains/dew point is not nearly as high as I thought they would be. They might be able to go pretty late tonight and it might be stupid quick tonight.

Of course; that would never happen, would it?
Are they still racing? I haven't seen any further Results postings and it now getting pretty cold. 55 degrees and 30+mph winds.

Yes. Running F/C and Hight just ran 3.831 @ 333..... Q#1 so far.

Just a thought. If it gets too cold to Q, would they run Sportsmen at other races? That has happened before.

I just looked at that site. The D.A. is now -337.99 ft. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen numbers that low.

If Bruno says anything about the Mopars’ higher MPH numbers, the changes will be implemented before the week is out.

Aaron Stanfield ran quickest ever EFI pass in P/S at 6.468 211.66. I can't remember the quickest ever P/S run on carbs, but it wasn't too much quicker than that. Kyle Koretsky ran 6.482 212.06, and that is top speed so far. Wow.....

I was curious after I saw Stanfield's numbers, and I looked at NHRA.com. It showed Jason Line ran 6.455 in March 2015.

According to DRC, fields are set in top fuel with Antron, Leah and Langdon all DNQs

Any guesses on why they wouldn't try running a 2nd session of Pro qualifying? Too cold?
