The six make one run each like this, low e.t. gets the #16 spot......provided they still have a car.

That's just flat out IGNORANT. ^^^^^^^ Draw a number out of a bucket for that 16th spot and race when the track is dry.

Anyone at the track? Forecast now says after scattered storms this morning, dry after 10:00 or so? That would be great.

Given the amount of rain that fell, I wonder if weepers are going to be an issue.

will be curious to see who makes it down the track on first run today. will the veteran tuners shine, with their old notes from similar past conditions?
or will there be surprises? and how will tire shake and tire smoke play into the first rounds? should be an interesting today AND tomorrow.

Yes with that much rain it could be. Hopefully the cool temps will help prevent that.

I'd imagine they'll have to scrape off the old rubber too, as it tends to peel up after all that rain.

Estimate from NHRA is 230 to 3 with FSS and TA then Q1 of Top fuel.

I wonder if they are going to push the Shootout to Vegas. No way they can get it in today with late start. Alan just called FSS and TA to the lanes.

Temp supposed to be 53 from last DRC report I read. That can mean Low ET of the World or shake & up in smoke. I agree w/ Mike's post. Crew chief will earn his pay today. Any chance of Sportsmen Q today? Maybe "all run" tomorrow & go from there.

Would be smart to push the Shootout to another track. Thinking only 1 Q session for everyone.

Looks like they aren't gonna make it for the FOX broadcast because they are airing the time slot now. Just a bunch of fluff.

0% cloud cover should help a lot with the track temp, even though it's only 59 degrees ambient temp. We've run in colder temps with cloud cover or darkness.

I'd be more concerned about the lack of rubber.

Quickest pass in FSS history with the first pair to hit the track and they just went even quicker with a 7.66. Mark Pawuk ended up low with a 7.60.

They’re running the FSS cars now and then TA cars to help get some rubber down on the track before going to the fuel classes.
