I wouldn't know. I had FS1 on DVR only to find out they preempted the final rounds with a soccer game: I had no idea they'd been switehed to FS2 and NHRA hasn't posted the final rounds results yet.

Beyond aggravating. Was there an oildown or a crash that pushed the finals past the allotted 3 hours? Could they not push the soccer game up 15 minutes? Were the final rounds previously scheduled to run on FS2? If not, Fox Sports needs to be taken behind the woodshed - along with everybody who had something to do with the header fiasco.
they were way behind. They showed another 20 or 30 minutes of pro mod and sportsmen before the pro finals

some of us don't want to support twitter or X or whatever the hells he names it next....I won't use that app.
It's not that I don't support it but I'm not a member. And I saw the sportsman and Pro Mod coverage which was nice. Still wondering why they were way behind. And the announcement on Twitter was good but it didn't help those of us who DVR'd the race. Anyway, no great big deal; I just would have liked to have seen the video instead of reading who the winners were on NHRA's website.

3 of those winners were predictable after several of the big dogs bowed out early. I am surprised at Tasca, who only made one decent pass out of 4 after killing it in qualifying. And someone explain again to me why Gaige Herrera has a solid tenth over the entire field. It's not power....his and Krawiec's 660 and 1320 speeds were identical - but what is it that makes Gaige's bike so quick in the 60 that the others can't get a handle on? 1.02 60 foots in PSM are unheard of. So what's his secret?

Making snarky comments about teams that are actually racing, while he has been relegated to the TV booth, is what makes TP feel good about himself.
What’s wrong with Tony calling out the negligent crew for not securing ballast? I’m glad someone like Tony exists so that it’s not all NHRA PR. I’ve searched and not found a single reference to Clay’s incident. If it wasn’t for TP I wouldn’t have known.

Yeah I was watching it later and was annoyed when it jumped to soccer. I tend to avoid social media later on race day so that I don't get the results blown. Like seeing pro mod and sportsmen maybe not showing repeat runs of every race and older races would help them fit into the time

The problem is Tony has no problem doing it when it's not family and friends and when he's not being a mouthpiece for them.

Finally, we have announcers that are not afraid to say what they think and put the fanbase deeper into what is going on in NHRA Drag Racing.
NHRA censorship of possibly the best episode of Brian's podcast is not only alarming, but clearly shows that NHRA is not interested in changing the status quo of (boring) broadcasting.
Kudos to Brian and Tony for a great job

The issue of timing Sunday was primarily due to E1 going extremely long due to a lot of different issues, primarily with stuff on the track, not oil. The FOD mat seemed to be out after every run. Wind was primary cause. After Q1 the races ran close to normal. In my opinion, running late was not NHRAs fault. They just couldn't catch up after E1 delays.

The problem isn't Tony speaking his mind. It's his convenience on when to do so. He went scorched earth on Hight and Clay's team only for Tasca to get hit with a DQ. Let's see if he keeps even a fraction of that energy he had for the Parts Plus team with the Ford Motorcraft team.

You completely missed the point of TP’s Parts Plus rant, it was on the basis of safety NOT performance. So no, he won’t have the same energy for Tasca’s infraction. It’s not the same thing.

Whether he will say anything at all about the DSQ is a fair question and I’d imagine he’s smarting after his Robert rant.

I agree that Tony had a legitimate point about the ballast safety infraction but but the way he expressed it on the censored podcast was horrible. Did everyone who has commented here get to hear the podcast before it was deleted ?

I thought he went overboard

I totally agree.
I can see how people want to perceive that “Niceness” is always mandatory but I disagree. Facts are what matter ultimately, as long as he’s got them right, not the feelings of those he’s speaking to or about. Now being on a public forum and representing a major sanctioning body, should people try to deliver these facts as PC as possible? Well…that’s up to the public and the sanctioning body to decide. Seems as though the NHRA thought Tony crossed a line and pulled the comments. It’s their sand box folks. Still doesn’t change the facts though.
