Wonder who is bitter and is starting rumors about tasca cheating? laid back headers etc, caught in his interview fri night

The plot thickens.......

Q4

Left Lane: Bob Tasca III No Time, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.853/335.73, Was #2
Right Lane: Robert Hight Runs 3.875/327.19, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.851/327.51, Was #1

Tasca's run was DQ'ed for a technical violation.

Also looks like Diehl's and JR Todd's Q4 runs were also tossed. Diehl stays in the show according to DRC.

If you go and listen to the most recent episode of the NHRA podcast with Lohnes and Pedregon, Tony goes on a tirade on behalf of his bestie(as usual) and gives a case breaking clue.

Edit: I'll save everybody some time. According to him, it's Robert Hight.

Does anybody know what the technical infraction was? It boggles the mind that NHRA could write an article, reference the DSQ but not say what it was for.

NHRA is on a roll lately, huh? Throw Tony Stewart out of a race which cost him a chance at the Championship. Disqualified Clay from the Ennis race 7 days after the race was over??? Threw out 4 of Elite's Q2 runs on Friday??? Now throwing out FC runs? All of which have points implications???

They also threw weight on Vance and Hines during the final few races of the championship…. Fortunately it made Gaige faster 😝

Maybe they are mad about the PRO race?

NHRA seems to have removed that episode

Wow, tampering with the Leahy safety system is less egregious than unsecured ballast or funny magneto parts in a midpack TAD. Good to know.
So what exactly happened that got NHRA's hackles up? As I understood it , NHRA didn't like the way Elite had the system wired and closer inspection of the system started because there was an incident where it didn't shut Erica's car off. Obviously, Elite wouldn't take some sort of shortcut that could potentially endanger a driver so what happened?

Robert Hight narked on Bob Tasca over something (header angle?) and got his 3.84 disqualified? Possible I suppose but I'd have to see a lot more proof than just Tony Pedregon's opinion. And that doesn't explain the other two DQs that didn't involve Team Force or anyone in contention for the championship.

On that insider podcast that NHRA deleted Tony also made some highly derogatory comments regarding Clays team for the loose ballast issue. It was a bad mistake and they paid the price. No need to grind them into the ground.

Making snarky comments about teams that are actually racing, while he has been relegated to the TV booth, is what makes TP feel good about himself.

Hight vs Tasca in the final. Could be redemption for Tasca.
I wouldn't know. I had FS1 on DVR only to find out they preempted the final rounds with a soccer game: I had no idea they'd been switehed to FS2 and NHRA hasn't posted the final rounds results yet.

Beyond aggravating. Was there an oildown or a crash that pushed the finals past the allotted 3 hours? Could they not push the soccer game up 15 minutes? Were the final rounds previously scheduled to run on FS2? If not, Fox Sports needs to be taken behind the woodshed - along with everybody who had something to do with the header fiasco.

Finals are running now.
