I'm hearing from someone close to the JFR operation that there was a period of time that some people did not get their paychecks timely. Force even admitted in one of his statments he had some financal issues that are now straightened out. That caused concern among his employees about the future and caused some people to start looking at other options. Everyone has to protect their family and do what's best for them. Waiting until December is too late. All the positions are filled then and teams are set.

You can speculate all you want about where Prock will be at DSR but hear me now and believe me later. Jimmy Prock will be tuning Jack Beckman next year and perhaps at Vegas. I'm also told the only thing stopping him from tuning at Vegas is respect for John and concern about further damaging various relationships.

I think Prock will go to Ron Capps. Capps (read that NAPA) NEED a championship. Prock can deliver no question about that. Prock gets a TOP team with budget and a fat paycheck for years to come.

John did the same thing last year to DSR when they hired Todd Smith and Don let him go early........... I guess you are saying the same thing about John, but I am sure you will tell me it's different.

You can't blame Don for being proactive about lining up a talented tuner for next year. From the press releases, Jimmy told John that he would leave at the end of the season and JOHN WAS THE ONE WHO RELEASED HIM WITH TWO RACES TO GO! How can you blame DSR for that?

Paul is correct, same exact situation!! And it is commonplace in the business world, particularly in very competitive marketplaces, that people are asked to leave immediately upon tendering their resignation.......I know it is in my industry!

Bottom line this thread is getting to be about people who like John Force and people who hate him. Personally I like John Force I like what he has done for Drag Racing. I have a couple friends that have worked for JFR on his race team and now at shop in Indy for over 20 yrs. John always pays his people, you should never say things like that unless you have proof that shows different. John is a good businessman and sometimes people don't agree but he has not failed yet and my odds say he will come out on top.
