I'm trying something fun with this. One of my friend's leagues is having a whole Draft Weekend out of town. Basically, it's no women 'owners' and all the boys go make a weekend out of it from Friday to Sunday for a live draft.
Anyway, I'm going to try to pick roughly the same team he ends up with and then we are going to compare how we do through the season with our decisions on starters and trades. Should add a little extra twist for me.

Steve, its easy. Since we do an auto draft you have to rank your players in order of how you want them picked. Go to where it says "My Team" and then in the middle of the screen it should say "Pre Draft Rankings" or something like that and click on it and then it will bring up a screen and you can set your rankings.
Once everyone has there's rankings done the computer will pick the order we get to pick in. If you get the first pick then it will take whoever you selected as your #1 person. If you get to pick 2nd, say I picked first, then it would go to your list and pick the highest ranked person on it that hasnt been picked already. If you want to, you can just set your rankings to Yahoo's default ones or you can take the time and do it yourself.
I know its kinda hard to explain writing it out, if you need any more help just feel free to give me a call on my cell, 832-493-1075.

I did that 2 years ago and it all depends really on how each league's scoring system is. I love live drafts! All the ones this year I'm playing for real money are live drafts. Have one this Sat for our big one, $150 a team. Hey Kel, if your not doing anything important Sun you should come down to Jillians for the fantasy convention. Last year there were several women there.

I thought about it, but I'm going to the Astros game at 1:05 pm. It's Bagwell's jersey retirement.
I have had tickets to the Astro's all year and I just cant seem to go the last 2 months, they just do anything to piss me off while I'm there. Though I am looking for 2 tickets on a weekend to give to my grandpa b/c the 3 people I normally get them from are out for the year since its winding down, so if you hear of any let me know please.

As far as FFL....I love live drafts too! Back in the day.....circa 1990, I have great memories of sitting in a room drinking beer, smoking cigars, surrounded by USA Today and misc newspapers, taking FOREVER for everyone to finally get all their picks in.......and being the only chick! Ahhhhh....those were the days!

Sign into yahoo and then over on the left of the home page it will say "Fantasy Football". Click on that and it should bring up the Fantasy Sports Home page. On the right there should be the link for your team. Click on your teams name and it should take you to your team. If it takes you to our league homepage then click on the first option which should say "my team" and that should take you to the draft page. You need to click on "edit my rankings" and that will take you to the page where you move players over to the right box into the order that you want them to be picked.
Let me know if you need some more help or not. Its alot to understand your first time so dont worry your not bugging me or anything.

..hey Justin, I hate to be a pain in the a$$ but I never assigned my team a name, I did get to 'yahoo' and found fantasy football, but when I clicked on that then next page asked to to join a league or create a league, I have a sick feeling that by the time I understand all of this, fantasy football will be over and done with

Ok, Steve I actually checked the league and didnt see you registered for it and we were full but luckily for you a friend of mine backed out this morning saying he didnt think he would play every week so we have an opening.
When the page that comes up saying join a league or create one, click on join private league. Then put in league id# 112267 and the password is: cowboys. Then once you get it there you should be able to click on my team and set your rankings. I tell you what, if that doesnt work for you pm me your yahoo id and password and I will go sign in and set it up for you.

....hey Justin, I got in and registered my team name, I'm not sure how to go about setting up my team players though and then I tried to go back to my team but when I put in the id# and password it says the league is full and there is an 'error 21' and it won't let me back in, anyhow were getting closer, thanks for having patience with me
Ok Steve, I checked and your in buddy! Now's the easy part. You dont have to use the league id and pw but once, the first time you sign in and join the league. After that all you have to do is sign into your regular yahoo mail.
Anyways from the yahoo homepage just click on Fantasy Sports and then Fantasy Home. One the Fantasy home page on the right it will show every fantasy team you have. Your team name is Taranda Rams so just click on it and it should take you to your team which is blank right now and it will show the draft deal.
Now, if you want to use yahoo's pre-set rankings you can. Every team is set to that unless they change it so you dont have to do anything. If you want to change them and do your own then click on the blue "edit my rankings" and it will pull up the draft rankings page. The players are in the middle and you put them in order of how you want them in teh box on the right. I beleive they only have the top 25/50 players so to get the rest just go to the Top 25/50 button and pick the next ones and put them in order as well.

.......OK, I'm in, yahoooo ....just a couple more questions, last year was my first ever fantasy football league, my question is this, in my first league we started 1 quarterback, 2 runing backs, 3 wide receivers, 1 tightend, 1 kicker, and 1 defensd, on your league you have quite a few other initials and I don't know what they are or how to use them, also, are all the other teams using the auto draft or are some teams doing thier own draft, thank you very much

In my league we start 1 qb, 2 rb's, 3 wr's, 1 te, and then you have the option of a 3rd rb/4th wr and another either wr/te. So techinally you could start 5 wr's. Then a team defense and then we start 3 individual def players who earn pts by how many tackles they have, have many fumbles forced, fumbles recovered, interceptions, etc. Oh, and a kicker too and then we have 6 bench spots for your backups.
Under your "league" tab you can click on "settings" and it will go over all this plus show our scoring system.
This league uses the auto draft. Everyone has to use it. Like I said earlier, you can just leave it alone and it will automatically use Yahoo's default rankings or you can go in and rank the players yourself. Up to you, its just what ranking lineup you want hte computer to use when it drafts for you.
