I always thought Stewart was joke this confirms it!
I wonder what education qualifications are required to have such an impotent job such as his!:p
I would love to see someone deck him some day but that's just me.

Dang, didn't know there were so many RS haters out there.................. Well, until this incident...........................

Lynn,
I don't Hate Rick, I've just disliked him for over 45 Years...
See what happens when a greaser snubs a kid in the pits at the Beach? Sawed off little... suffering from rectal cranial inversion... time has not tempered my view in the least....

Nope, don't hate Rick... can't hate the socially impaired...

I think top cat would do a pretty stellar job as vp, With Big as president of course :)

Here's what Mike had to say on the matter:

EDWARDS SHOULDERS THE BLAME FOR DALLAS INCIDENT

Edwards' explanation was right on, IMO. Sometimes a car will make the final move into the stage light and get "on the fence". The rocking on the car, however slight, causes the stage light to flicker and the computer will not activate the lights until it detects a solid stage light (short amount of time but still a solid light). Edwards was on that fence...and he was man enough to admit it. And as stated earlier, it happens to everyone sooner or later.

I have seen numerous cars that appeared to have staged properly and the yellow lights started to come down. The driver rev'ed the engine and that was enough to cause the car to rock backwards out of the stage light. The result is a red light.

Seems like there is a LOT of hostility at the races this year. Now, what could be different other than Powerade has been replaced with Full Throttle?

Exactly. He'd probably would have been choked slammed if he said that to Connie Kalitta.

I would buy a ticket to see that. Still remember a big time confrontation between Buster and Connie at,I think, Baton Rouge. Still remember Connie slamming his helment to the ground.:D

I know Roger Stull very well. Roger will tell you he thanks God every day no matter what life brings. Look at the story of Job in the Bible and the things Job went through, yet he remained faithful to God. Losing a round doesn't compare to the things that Job endured. Being a Christian can and does mean no easy road ahead. And anyone who thanks God for the wins needs to also thank Him for the losses. To have the life we have in Christ, and to be able to pursue our dreams is reason enough to be thankful. There's a lot more to it...

Amen Randy--very well said.:)

That might be the difference between starters. Now..Connie's helmet would have been aimed at Rick..back then..it was aimed at the ground..hehe

I think Stewart is getting the raw deal on this. He's spent his entire adult life in drag racing..accomplished plenty. He's certainly paid his dues? Who would want that job? There has already been an explanation from the one that it involved..he said it was his own fault.

Damn..between Stewart and Page this place is pretty much suckin!! Kind of embarrassing if you ask me, to even throw a fit over these non-issues. But then..it is the Mater. Fortunately, there have been starters that have a legacy..and we know who they are..Larry Sutton & Buster. But I don't think you'll see another..and it isn't Rick's fault.

I understand what you are saying David, but just because someone has been involved in an industry for a long time, even doing the same job, doesnt always mean that they are the right person for it.
