Not a big deal spending $17.9m on over-the-hill David Beckam.
The shieks family spends almost 10 times that amount per year on race horses. They are very involved in horse racing. The rest is minor money.

Why does everybody think Alan is still tunning the cars? He is the owner of the teams not the tuner!
If for some reason that the rumor comes true I'm sure Alan's #1 rule will be I make the decisions for my teams and with his track record and his current tuners what more has to be said?
I'm sure he is mentoring them but he is also letting them develope into quality tuners! Each of them are now championship tuners.
Two championships in 3 years not bad if you ask me.

You should pay more attention. He's still tuning those race cars. I've seen him first hand making changes to the cars in the pits and in the lanes. If you read some of Del's press releases from this year, he mentions Alan tuning a fair bit.

AJ is not the type of guy to go to the track and hang out in the hospitality tent. I am sure the crew chiefs have a lot of say in tuning decisions, but AJ's fingerprints are all over the car ...

All I can say is, remember who was doing all the adjustments in the black box before Del's championship winning run? Alan Johnson.. :D

I would say my husband Lex Joon. He is racing for almost 30 years and the last 7 years in a nitro car.
His goal has always been to race in the US! And he will put the world up side down if he has to, to achieve his goal.
He has a lot of experience, can drive the truck and trailer and work on the car. And he does not have to have a huge paycheck. All he wants to do is Live the American Dream.
And wouldn't it be great if a European racer can run a complete NHRA season? Think of all the extra fans and publicity it would give.
PS: Did I mention that he is a FIA European Top Fuel Dragster Champion???

I agree w/ Gerda! Turn NHRAs audience Global, not just NA and Down Under.
........... or, Whit Bazemore....:)

I would go with Branden ! For all the above reasons put together plus the name recognition !

I hate to say it, tho I am a fan, coming from someone who has studied his career, he is a damn good driver but if he cant fix his rep on the tree, name power is all he's got.
