LOL....OK, I do not even know where begin regarding this rumor! A couple of thoughts...
1) Aaron Brooks was demoted from FC crew chief at Al Anabi, then shortly after left for R2B2, at which point he couldn't even get the car qualified until Medlen showed up. I'm guessing that AJ has lost a little of that initial confidence in Aaron's abilities.
2) In the meantime, AJ has two very capable tuners winning separate championships. I would say that Jason is doing more of the tuning on Larry's car while there's still a pretty good bit of AJ hand holding going on with Husen. These are AJ's chosen ones, so I would be surprised if Aaron Brooks would replace either.
Not unless we get 3 full moon's in a month. This is also why DRO is....well DRO. Not a chance for this to happen, Aaron is still and up and coming tuner, he's good, but with the talent Morgan has hired and fired, no way would he take Aaron.
Brooks will be tuning Morgan Lucas next year, it's official. Also, Rob Centorbi, who worked with Del's championship car this past year, is the assistant crew chief.

Wow finally a win for DRO lol. I am not taking back my comments I wrote eariler, I am very surprised at this pick. Aaron Brooks never tuned a dragster before, maybe this will be where his calling is.
I would say my husband Lex Joon. He is racing for almost 30 years and the last 7 years in a nitro car.
His goal has always been to race in the US! And he will put the world up side down if he has to, to achieve his goal.
He has a lot of experience, can drive the truck and trailer and work on the car. And he does not have to have a huge paycheck. All he wants to do is Live the American Dream.
And wouldn't it be great if a European racer can run a complete NHRA season? Think of all the extra fans and publicity it would give.
PS: Did I mention that he is a FIA European Top Fuel Dragster Champion???
Thank you Bill! Wouldn't it be great to have the only TF driver in the Netherlands go racing in the States. It is almost an Arie Luyendyk story.
An other thing I think can be important is the fact that Lex made his own career. He had no rich dad who paid for everything so he could go racing. Everything he has achieved is because of hard work and a lot of dedication. And I can tell you it is not easy racing in Europe. Whether it was Alcohol Funny Car or in a Nitro class (he raced both FC and TF) he had to learn everything by him self.
I always wonder if Morgan Lucas, Sisthers Force, Matt Hagan etc would also be racing if they had to do everything themself. If yes than they are die hard racers.
While I agree the that a foreign driver in the AJ seat would be an amazing opportunity for the driver and the team publicity wise do you really think Lex is the ideal candidate? Has he sent his CV over?
Top Fuel drivers in Europe come and go but some real talents shine through.
My nomination would be Urs Erbacher, someone who has achieved constant success in Europe and a semi final finish in the States. He is also a huge character in the States.
Lex must be chomping at the bit to get back out there after having to cancel entry to the last few events.
What would happen to Kevin Poynter if he did get the gig?
I know Lex and your crew like coming from behind but I reckon this is a race to far...
