What a freakin' terrible event for me:mad:
Looks like I lost the points lead to Todd, I haven't really looked at everybodies picks, but mine flamed out, so I'm sure everyone beat me.

Oh well, time to regroup & get ready for Reading.:)

Oh yeah, congrats to the new points leader, and to the winner (though I haven't figured out who won yet.):)

Dont worry Naz, my team sucked it up too. Alot of people had first round losers.

Ya know what they say....speaking of which who are they??? We never see who "they" yet people always refer to them as though "they" have some great knowledge...anyway back on point.

Ya know what they say. If you're gonna win one it better be Indy. Legends are made there and today we enter a new legend into the records books as we announce our winner.......

I'm doing the points know during lunch be back in a few with the results

Well the results are in.

First I do want to say Congrats to Amanda and the team for their great weekend.

I think its only fitting after spending alot of time at the track this weekend with who I now consider to be the #1 Indy fan that John Rogers is the 2006 US Nationals Champ. Way to go John, looks like those powerade guys knew what they were doing when they took your pic in the winners circle yesterday :)

Season results will be delayed the boss just handed me a bunch of stuff to do. Sorry

I was just wondering if next year you will be changing the scoring system to be more like NHRA.. after race 17 you will take the TOP 10 and let then fight it out.. :) and also have the special "EE" Award that would be Excellent Effort by a low scoring contenstant... :) maybe I could get in the running :)

Although I did not start voting until the "New Mater" went into effect...I'm about at the 1/2 way mark ..points wise ... Next year with the new scoring system I'm gonna be in the TOP 5... BTW you better get a connection with IBM .. your gonna need a computer to help keep track :D

Again thanks for doing this points thing.. keeps it interesting....

Sorry John but Compton's "Competitive Welfare Points" system probably won't bleed into the real world such as our little game.

However, if such an option is being considered only Bernstein will be consulted prior to being imposed on the competitors. If you buy me lunch in Pomona, you can have all my points? Heck, I'll even buy lunch!

I was wondering if anyone else got that feeling.
New team. Probably slow start. With any luck, in top 8 after 17 and running better............hmmmmm:D

Well I was going to wait but since people have already started asking about next years points for the game I figure I should set everybody straight before the rumors get going to wild. I already had the national enquirer here this morning...although that could be due to a separate incident. Anyway.

I am please to announce starting next season I to will be having a journey to quest for the cup of championshipism. Its actually pretty simple. After the first 12 races we take away all your points, after 5 more we divide what we took away by 23, add 2 points for every point you won plus 3 points for every point we took away. For the next 3 races we'll go old school straight point system. At Indy points will be tripled, however for every first round loser you lose 100 points. From there we will take the top 97.29% of the field and they will really start the chasing journey to the great beyond cup of the quest. After 4 races we divide everyones points by zero. We feel that this will really tighten up the field. If it doesn't work then we will do that again after the 22nd race. To top if off we're not gonna keep track of points at the last race. So if you've done the math correctly than that means that you will be the 2007 champion of this game.....in a massive tie with everyone else. Of ocurse I'll give you a bonus point for actually reading through this :)

Here they are the new and improved updated standings. I need to borrow a parachute and fast. I've gone from first to 16, whats even worse is Bobk might actually catch me.. I'll never hear the end of it.
