I'm just remembering it from being in the newspaper years ago. I remember car lots making a big deal about accepting those for downpayments on cars where the amount required was normally greater. Say the normal required down was $2,000, they'd take a $500 Dolly check. (might as well get them started down the lifelong path of financing everything right away! Ugh!)
