Every track I go to I find out certain fans I used to see quit going cause of the 1000', doesn't make sense to me but I see it at every race! If I see it I bet it's more prevalent than NHRA or Compton will ever admit!
I read, "...in two years we'll have zero debt." To me that means they're still in the red, but I'm just an engineer, not a beancounter.![]()
It makes me wounder if somebody with a racing and business background. If heading NHRA would things be different. IE. Shoe or Bud king.
Where did the 22 million come fromz?
Didn't Tom Compton suggest that since TV ratings and attendance had dropped every year since the switch to 1000', that a switch to 1320 was in the works?
He already has a better TV package then ESPN has to offer in MAV TV.
Looks like Cox is the problem not Mav TV.The ratings are already not very impressive on ESPN2 with millions more potential viewers, if you really want nobody to see NHRA, put it on MavTV.
In Las Vegas with Cox Communications (3rd largest cable operator in the USA), MavTV is not even offered.
I love the Lucas family too, but NHRA is right to stick with ESPN.
