I love Alan on the top end. I think his driver interviews after the run are stellar.

Who knows why they changed it up at Indy this year by putting Alan at the top end. Maybe they had already committed to the other announcers during Alan's absence?

Many on here complain that the usual top end interviews lack substance. Now when we get the guy down there who really knows his stuff, they still complain.

Alan did some sportsman stuff. I really like his top end interviews. They are smart-assy and humorous. This was his old job, 20 years ago. Maybe he likes it. He said his allergies and voice were bugging him.

Chris Monahan (sp?) did a pretty good job.

I want to hear Hannah do some more announcing. She’s amazing. They are all good, but they don’t really have the Rheinhart/Bob Frey voice.

Absolutely, but his place is in the tower announcing. Today's coverage is the worst I have ever seen on NHRATV.

Jason Galvin is not Alan but he's not that bad. I like Joe Costello.

He did top end at atleast one other race this year so not all that surprised. Keep in mind he was having some serious allergy problems earlier in the week so not near as much talking to do at top end.
