One of my favorite corporate cars was the Coors Light dragster of early 90s(?). Don't remember if Hawley or Brotherton were driving it. I think there were two versions of the paint, one was a darker blue and silver. But the one I am thinking of was a light metallic blue and silver and there were what looked like "palm fronds" inlayed in the paint in different greens and blues. That might not be correct, but it was a stunner in the sunlight!!!
I doubt a photo would do it justice, but if anybody found one...I'd love to see it again.
thanks, it came from hairy glass. that was my car in 1999-2002. the paint job was a combined effort of myself, barney squires and chuck buckler. chuck is the man who has done all the outrageous artwork on the oakley f/c's. ..and barney owns and operates performance auto crafters.
I think Tom Martino's Six Flags car was one of the best ever corporate paint jobs. I agree that Spurlocks Fruit of the Loom car and the Jade Grenade dragsters are also way high on the list!!
At this years Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green NHRA recognized the first painter & striper/designer team for their work. Having had a "Short Round / Dauber" dragster in my life I think they have done many of the best paint jobs. Now if I just knew where to find some files to post to prove it http://museum.nhra.com/apcm/templates/reunions.asp?articleid=12318&zoneid=48
This is a great thread! I admit there are so many cars that I've forgotten about ALMOST too many to have just one favorite but my pick will always be the McCulloch's Revellutions and especially the one shown in my avatar. However I've always liked Pulde's War Eagle or any of the Revell sponsored cars like Jungle's, Snow, Leong, Chi-town Hustler, etc... Or the fuelers such as Kuhl and Olson, Jeb Allen, Tony Nancy.
Is the Xerakias PS car one of the former Geoffrion/Blakeney/Panella cars? I'd heard that both cars were sold to folks in Oz but hadn't seen pictures until now.
