A little over a week before the next race. It's the only race not getting 4 Q runs. Only 3 all on Saturday. For the record, and not that anyone cares what I think, I don't like the format.

Here's the 10-day outlook for the weather, https://weather.com/weather/tenday/...c318e412452ff49e8dd962a494dd393afda511ab8abac . So far so good from a rain standpoint. Still hot though, but at least not 100 degrees all three days like last year. But it is an all concrete track.

According to this link https://www.nhraeventreg.com/ListEventStatus.asp , there are 13 TF cars registered and 15 FC.

No Pro Stock cars, dang it, I wanted to see a good fight. lol, I kid.

I'm looking forward to the race. I'll be there all 3 days. The company I own rented a tower suite for Sunday eliminations. Should be a fun time.

run schedule not posted yet. what i wish nhra would start doing, is finishing the sportsman categories on saturday.
why make 4 cars stick around one more day just to have semis and finals on sunday. pushem' through on saturday, give them their wally,
and let them head for home. at virginia so far they have 5 nitro bikes and 5 factory x cars. isn't that enough filler for sunday?
friday hopefully will a full day of S, SS, SG, SC, TD, and Comp(all 4 of them so far). two hits for everyone starting at 8am friday, and eliminate
as far as you can on friday.

It’s the Franklin family that wanted the two day format. During covid I did one of the Indy races which were two day events. I’m with you as a fan not liking the two day event format but it saved me money with one less hotel night and car rental day.

They are filler on Sunday.
that is obvious. sportsman semi-finalists sit most of saturday, then have final 2 rounds on sunday (typically).
if you runner-up in the final at least you get something. if you lose in semis, you have sat in pits for an additional 24 hours and receive nothing.
finish these classes on saturday. let these guys and gals head for home. they supply a steady stream of event income for nhra. nhra should try to
accomodate them at least a little bit. a couple minutes of nothing on-track on sunday is fine, or just prep track a little more.
95+% of fans in stands on sunday couldn't give two ch_ts who wins the wally in the sportsman classes.
plus it would be great to have more finals on saturday, for those of us who do actually follow those classes.

Another point is these people have 9 to 5 Jobs. getting home on Monday mornings at 1 to 3AM makes for a bad day at work on Mondays.

A lot of the sportsman racers don't want to run the Finals on Saturday night. They want to run on Sunday, with the Pros. It’s a sense of accomplishment to “race on Sunday” for those guys.

Since John Force wasn't in Bristol having to tend to business was wondering if he was going to go to Virginia. He never stopped going to Texas but this track is different. But he is one tough sob and he now has a new role in Nhra. What do you think?

or at another race when weather pushes out the sportsmen so pros can finish..... i.e. bristol. i understand what you are saying though.

Here's the weather forecast for the 3 day races.

That’s why I won’t go to a race in summer with no night racing. They even have three nitro sessions Saturday but the latest is late afternoon when it’ll still be 90 degrees and hardly anyone making a full pull. Yep, grumpy in my old age.
