Seems like it would only take a few stationary cameras to help keep an eye on things. It almost seems, in this litigious world, that the NHRA would have started that long ago to assist in situations like this or maybe capture an accident in the pits.
Been that way for years. Depends on the event. Local event with just racers around you can leave things around unlocked. Divisional, you close things up, but maybe not lock up. National, never leave for any reason without locking up like a safe. Chain things down...
Pomona is especially bad. Seems like some clowns just consider the ticket to be a license to a free swap meet. Golf carts even. Amazing.
