Well good, I hope it’s an easy adjustment for them. Driver safety comes first; and if it yields a little bit of go-faster, that’s even better.

I'm all for safety, 100%. I will say that I really hate the canopy look. It completely takes away the view of the driver and I believe to be able to see the driver adds to the excitement of the racing. Just my 2 cents.

I thought of that......that's why I love when they raise the body....camera goes in and shows your the living breathing human being in there giving a thumbs up or what have you.....pro stock, little different but they do manage to get the camera in there and show the driver giving a thumbs up or whatever.

article on complus talks about kalittas trying out canopy......but looking at pic of car and i'm looking at the side panels (mudflaps) and wondering if
their shape or position will ever change? or can change? aero advancement on FC's only make them look more like a door stop, but TF'rs are
such a unique structure, i wonder if someone is building the next 'aero' piece? ..... i believe ground effects are not allowed?

I think that NHRA counts the "mud flaps" as part of the overall size of the wing, so I guess most teams leave them there. As heavy as the T/F cars are these days, wish someone would come up w/ a streamliner again.

The rulebook does talk about the body and wing.

"Ground effects of any description prohibited"
"Air deflector plates located behind cockpit restricted to a maximum 17 inches by 17 inches"
"Mud flap may be located in front of or behind exhaust headers"
