Is Ray Alley still the crew chief?

It's just been confirmed on nhra.com that Jimmy Walsh is the new crew chief. So who is now tuning J.R Todd??

Re: Johnny West out at Bernstein?

Your kidding Right? Johnny and Ray are getting a good handle on the car... it even got to half track a couple of times... but I heard it was Jimmy, Eric, and the whole crew, with Robert going along to "Play in the Can"

That's what I want to know. It didn't say in the press release. This deal better not jeopardize JR's racing future because he is a class act driver and he had a kick ass crew chief. Sucks for JR if Walsh did step down as his crew chief.

I wish them all the luck that Ray had.
Dexter and J.R. deserve better integrity on board than this.
It appears you can buy anything, huh Kenny?
It would be interesting to know if Jimmy is also disposable in the event?

Geee: Monster just lost a customer, and I tell my kids, and they tell their friends

Karl- I understand your feelings, but until JR proves that there isn't someone in his crew of very talented folks that will be stepping up and keeping him on his POMONA path, isn't it a bit harsh to take it out on a sponsor that has just stepped on board? That probably had nothing to do with the crew change other than telling KB to get it together?

Obviously, Jimmy had good reasons to roll over- opportunity, $$$ (I'm sure- wouldn't you?), a long standing friendship with other members of the team, and an opportunity to try something new and get that notch in his belt... He's got a long road to hoe as well, if half of what has been said here about the quality of the car is true. Props to him for what may be a good career move if he can get that pig to fly.

This whole thing is just foul from a fans perspective & I agree with Karl - Monster just lost another customer (me) and anybody else I can get to stop supporting them as well. And since there's a connection, Budweiser lost some support too. Absolutely under-handed & disrespectful... And I was really staring to like Jimmy Walsh's talent. Where's the integrity? Damn! :(

This really sucks for JR...in fact it sucks all the way around. :(

Can't say I've ever tried Monster. But until today Budweiser had always been my brand of choice. I am now a drinker of Coors Light.
