I'm juiced for the playoffs. The A's are going to break the postseason jinx. The Redskins are set to win 10 in a row. The Oilers are going to keep the Stanley Cup momentum up, the Virginia Cavs are going to turn it around, I'm wearing BRUT til Pomona is done. And Arn, Ole, Tully, and Ric are reforming the most elite group in wrestling history. The Four Horsemen!

I'm telling ya, after the all star break, they were a full 12 games out of first place, and most people around here had already put the forks away after sticking them into this years teams chances.

<sigh> At least I have one less thing to worry about now. One helluva run by the Stros late in the season. They just couldn't get it done.
When do catchers and pitchers report to Spring Training?
Makes you wonder where the Stros would be if Rocket pitched the whole year.

Do you know what I find ironic? I am the quintessential Astros fan. For 26 years I have lived and breathed them, I have personalized plates that celebrate them, I have the state of Texas with the Astros open star (the patch they wear on their jerseys) tatoo'd on my right shoulder (no, I don't have any sort of Capps tattoo), my son's middle name is Ryan (after Nolan Ryan) and I think that Craig Biggio is the best person GOD ever created. What he does for children fills my heart. Not to mention twenty or so other players we have had over MY era that I could rant forever about.
And even though Roger Clemens is supposed to be one of the best pitchers to ever hurl, I have never seen him pitch live since he's been with the Astros. Timing is everything.....that is one of my biggest regrets in fan-dome!

Hey Astros Chick, I was in fact referring to Capps. You asked how long til pitchers and catchers report, and I TELL YOU THAT YOUR FALL ISN'T QUITE OVER WITH YET. Our boy is 1 point out. All is not lost. It can still be a championship year, period.
