It took 4 months of sending emails(not just me but a bunch of friends) but verizon now has mav tv.

Looks like Cox is the problem not Mav TV.

Maybe, but I doubt it. I was an engineer for Cox for 10 years ('97-'07) and I saw the wrangling that goes on behind the scenes to get channels added to the lineup. Most likely, Cox doesn't think that MavTV's carriage fees are fair for the number of viewers they have or they don't think enough people will buy the channel to add them to the lineup (likely at a higher tier of service which equals more money out of the customer's pocket, which makes it less likely to be subscribed to). New stand alone networks also have a bad habit of folding relatively quickly, so Cox also might want to wait it out for a bit before they invest in their infrastructure to carry the channel. Lastly, there might not be enough people calling Cox to get the channel added (for the record, I did submit an internet request for the channel to Cox at their website, as well as post on their Vegas Facebook page).

I don't want to make it seem like I am speaking ill of MavTV, because I am not, I am just dealing in the reality that it is far better for NHRA and the teams and their sponsors to be on ESPN than it is to be on any other channel, delayed broadcasts and all. I am also not willing to count Forrest Lucas out, 5-10 years from now MavTV might be the hot setup, just not for right now. Let's not forget about the fantastic ESPN3 coverage, that is something that would be costly to duplicate for another network.

My Parents in Kentucky are on Time-Warner, the largest cable operator in the USA, and they also do not have access to MavTV. The other carrier available to them is Cincinnati Bell Fioptics (similar to AT&T UVerse or Verizon FIOS) also does not carry MavTV.

Mav TV is on six major outlets, and a bunch of minor ones. Time Warner is one they are on per the Mav TV web site. Might be in a different package.
