Centrifugal fuel pumps

Does anybody else remember when there was experimentation with centrifugal fuel pumps in TF back in the late eighties? It was driven off the crank pulley. I remember Gene Snow having one when I saw him at KCIR back in 87/88. I'm not sure what it gained and what its GPM was. Won't see that again. I imagine NHRA would not approve it.

I have heard of it but dont know much about it, I wonder how it worked.

They tried alot of stuff back then that they probably couldn't try now but the way I look at it is that most of the big stuff that was tried was shevled in favour of conventional setups well before NHRA started restricting what they could do, would be interesting to know how it all worked.
