Anyone been to a "Pinks" taping?

I'd like to hear from someone who's been. Any comments? On TV the mics & cameras are right there in everyone's face. But at a "major" track.... sitting in several yards away in the stands, do they feed in the audio from the starting line over the PA?? Do you hear what's going on, or does the announcer tell everyone after the fact, then you just watch them go down? I think they have a "VIP" ticket option, too..... which probably gets you closer.

I went to a few of the ones they taped at Speedworld for season 2 and 3 and I just walked right up to the line and stood with the crews as their car launched. They didn't pipe any of the conversations or negotiations over the PA, they would just announce what the next race was. It took about 2 - 3 hours to film one episode. I don't know if they have changed it since.
