the force haters kill me! the thread name should be dsr team orders today??? rd 1 is beckman againt selzi. and everyone knows whats going to happen there but the dsr lovers will say no and make excuses, for the record i say jfr and dsr drivers better take dives, this is for the championship, this is what team cars are for, just kills me that the jfr taking a dive thread is up and not for dsr
I wonder if JFR is even at the track, the LA Times had a story that the area Robt lives in has been evacuated, and John mentioned other crew members were in the area, and Forces compound is right in the mix too, along with I bet a few other drivers.......Dont the Pedrigons live out in the Chino Hills area? JF I dont think hed do the team orders I really dont if the team is at the track.
If Tony takes out Robert in rd 1, then I say there will be no team orders for JFR. Realistically, I am sure there will be discussions for all teams involved, but recent history has shown that JFR will dive and DSR will race heads up. I can't see Gary Scelzi lying over for Jack given this is Gary's last race for Mopar/Oakley and Jack is a long shot to win the title.
It should be no surprise that team orders will be running rampant today. In the past I've heard teams say, a day like today would be a day they would happen. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

it'll come down to the run order in first round.....if Cruz wins first round then Beckman and Tony P are out of it....as far as JFR....can you blame them if they do?
rd1
DSR... Jerry, you'd better beat cruz, ron you're in the top ten, duh... Jack, you'd had the best DSR at the parking lot over the last few races here... you should win...
JFR... win...
rd2... depends on who won in rd 1
DSR... Jerry, you'd better beat Papa... or Wilk
JFR...

All of you that think JFR is the only one that does "team orders" are smoking crack. This is SOOO freaking old when every race you arm chair crew chiefs and fantasy team owners are talking this chit. If you did own your own business and ran it the way you think it should be, you wouldn't be in business very long. Oh, yeah, big suprise...SZELCI smoked the tires....but, must a been a mechanical failure...sure...DSR always races heads up...
OCASSIONALLY teams will race heads up, but they are the exception and not the norm. Early in the season, sure, heads up. Late in season with championship in sight, you are and IDIOT not to. Plan and simple.
No comment from Jeff or Bross after watching the FC semi finals? All Capps has to do is redlight, smoke the tires, something, and Beckman jumps past Wilkerson into 2nd place in the points and pockets an additional $50k! Instead it's a fantastic race as they both run 4.11's and Capps gets the win with the better light. $50 grand down the drain for DSR.
I'm not saying JFR does or does not give team orders. But I am saying that after hearing Don Schumacher say they will never have team orders again (after I believe the Seattle event involving Scelzi in '04 or '05 that was so obvious to everyone that a dive took place), I believe him. I think he's a man of his word, and the fact that he let $50k go last night gives me more reason to believe him.
I'm not attacking Jeff or Bross or JFR for that matter, I'm just merely stating an opinion based on what I saw last night. Oh and I'm pretty sure Wilkerson was pretty happy to see Beckman and Capps race all out.
