Won't talk about it yet in case some here don't know, but I really enjoyed the Vegas coverage, what a drama-filled event. I really wish I could have went out there for that and hit SEMA next week.

Best one I've watched all season . A lot of Bang for the buck at that one . Watched some NASCAR from Texas and man what a lot of empty seats .
I remember when they built all those extra seats on the other side that were not even open . Main seating maybe 3/4 full . Bodes Ill for motorsports .

Excellent race in Vegas. Bruton will not be happy about Texas, they say Phoenix next week is sold out, makes you wonder, could it maybe marketing or cost of tickets or
count down a bust. Good fight at end of race with Gordon and Keslowski. Sorry for spelling

What great weekend at LVMS! Quickest Top Fuel field in history, first 3 in funny car at LVMS, Tricky Rickie locks up the Pro Mod title and EE sweeps all of the Vegas events. It should not be legal to have this much fun.

It didn't help that there was the countries only F1 race in Austin the same weekend...

I was there yesterday at TMS and the crowd was about the same as last fall's race, 125k paid (according to Eddie Gossage). Phoenix only holds 55k, so Texas had over double that, but it looks bad when TMS holds over 18ok (135k grandstand seating) with the infield and suites.

I think we motorsports nuts need to look to the positives. Sure not every racing event is a sellout, and sure there are empty seats, but there are still a lot of people attending. Things change, and the sanctioning bodies have the task of trying to adapt and also stay ahead of the changes. Even Force mentioned how it's more about B to B when putting deals together now, not as simple as selling space on the car. So while every seat in the house may not be filled, and teams aren't landing multi-million dollar deals every day, after watching a race like Vegas I'm still "bullish" on the sport.

Hey I live in the northeast, optimism is a way of life. Like now that we're into November and it's almost dark at 5, I tell myself in just about 7 short weekd, the days start getting longer again!! :D

What impressed me is the stout numbers that are the standard now. When Zizzo ran that low .80something on Friday night, I thought "Awright! They're in the top 5 easily!" But gosh, 80's are bottom half of the order anymore. It's 70's now. And funny car it's gotta be .0x's now.

Friday looked like a sparse crowd (as I saw it from ESPN3) but Sunday's crowd looked awesome. Wish I coulda gone. I'm pretty sure I would have won any costume contest on Friday too.

I felt like all three days were strong crowd wise, Saturday the biggest for sure but the place was pretty full. And the fans got treated to some spectacular racing.

We were there, full house, great racing. NHRA did a great job considering the wind and cool temperatures. It's pretty clear from the cheering John Force is a major crowd favorite.
