This week, we feature the 1979 World Finals. If you've never seen what it was like to drag race at the old Ontario Motor Speedway, you can this Sunday. The major storyline is Rob Bruins' unlikely World Championship without winning a national event that year. You'll see Big Daddy and Shirley in their younger days and it's fascinating to see the respect they both gave to Bruins in their interviews since he never acheived the heights in the sport they did and never contended for another title. Hope it will be running in your area since Fox Sports moves things around from week to week. Check your cable guide.

Definitely looking forward to it.

I have another idea for a drag racing show, something similar to the round table stories that Mike Dunn does for the Indy shows with several racers. Alot of the older racers are leaving us, and it would be great stuff for someone to document all of their stories from the past.

Thanks again Bill for producing these.

You are so right, Bill. It's great to see, as you say, the respect shown to Robbie Bruins. He was very respectful of Shirley and Big as well as outgoing champ Kelly Brown. I have this complete event coverage in my collection and it is a wonderful event. Would have been nice if it wasn't a one lane racetrack, though. Lotsa smoke but still very exciting. Looking forward to Sunday's show.

With Shirley and Big, the rule was always, "You get what you give". If they were shown respect, they gave it back. And if someone didn't give it back, Shirley or Big would probably give them a good waxing the next time they ran. Whatever happened to those days?

I have Directv and I live in the burbs of Chicago, the only way I am able to watch this on Fox Sports is by having the sports package that allows me to see every major city's sports channel, otherwise I would be stuck with only Comcast Sports. Since Comcast Sports is the local sports channel in Chicago, I would think this is the same for Dish Network.

Son-of-a-b----… First Sunday I’ve actually been home and able to watch, and it’s not showin’ here. Airing the World Poker Tour on multiple occasions throughout the week, though…

Glad it’ll be available on DVD.

My DVR recorded the first 2 shows then skipped the last 2 and then recorded todays. I have no idea why.

There was a college basketball game on this morning, however I checked the program schedule for the rest of the day, and whadda know, it comes on at 3:30 A.M. At least the show that was delayed to the same time 2 weeks ago came on when it was supposed to.
