Thank BO that I have somehow avoided the symptoms of that dreaded disease that almost took my maize and blue brother PJ. The minute I start feeling too ill I just slap that "sucks" sticker back under the big nasty O on my cup ( I hope my buddy's not lurking here ) and I immediately start to feel better. It's my own little "nitro" pill. Pun intended ...after all we are a drag racing forum!

Hi, Dave! Remember, I'm pulling for Michigan to destroy USC also. Especially since they were one of the teams that beat NU. Speaking of Ohio State supporters, we don't seem to be getting much action from any Florida or USC supporters. No 'maters from any of those states?

OHIO STATE victory over Michigan!! I hope he comes back soon I need some other BUCKEYES to help me cheer!!!!

Michigan had only one win against a ranked opponent at the time of the game all season. Only two teams are currently in the top 25. Florida beat 3 ranked teams all of which are still in the top 17 in the current BCS rankings.

The thing that gets lost is the brutality of an SEC season. Surviving that conference & a championship game (extra game that big 10 does not have) carrys so much value.

Against 9 SEC bowl teams, 7 Big 10 teams, 10 of Floridas opponents are going bowling, 7 of Michigans opponents.

Anyway, thats what makes college footbal great, Diehard Fans!!! You should see the Bama fans around here, there are rabbid & Bama hasn't been very good in a long time!!

Absolutely! A playoff is the ONLY answer. There is an argument to be made both ways. I don't have a problem with Florida being there as much I have a huge problem with how they jumped MICHIGAN to do so. Especially when I hear some of the voters using the argument of "Didn't want a rematch" or "Didn't win conference". The first is not a VALID reason to vote Florida ahead of MICHIGAN and the second means NOTHING in regards to qualifying for the NC game. NOTHING! Vegas has MICHIGAN a 6 point favorite if they played Florida. Florida is a larger under dog to OSU on a neutral site than MICHIGAN was at the Shoe!! FLorida is better???? B.S.! I'm not even getting into stats because there are stats for BOTH sides of the argument. We could have a thread the size of this one just on this debate alone.

Sorry Teri, just got back from Ohio, went to see my Mom, And get a new Ohio State shirt to wear proudly to work when I go back next week! also drove around the "Hallowed Horseshoe" to feel the spirit. It was a real nice experiance even though I almost froze my butt off, It's nice to be back in Texas. I'm just waiting for the Big Game now, Fried gator tail anyone?

In the current system, I just don't see how any 2 teams from 1 conference can play for the National Title. The entire situation wouldn't be as intriguing if the Big Ten would add another member and have a Title Game itself. Suffice the matchup of UM vs. OSU earlier in the year was the defacto Big Ten Title Game and OSU got the reward.

I hope that if you were a Michigan fan you were happy you got your shot.

On Florida leaping frogging Michigan in the polls: Remember when Michigan went from 11th to 6th after beating Notre Dame. Jumping teams that had won and those who were idle. The fact of the polls is that if you beat a highly ranked team you will be rewarded.

BTW, I believe the system sucks and there will be no National Champion on the field until it is decided, ON THE FIELD. ESPN guys, radio guy, your neighbor, the garbage guy, and even me may think they know who would win no matter who OSU played. But the fact is, nobody knows unless the game is actually played.
