Well, that's the ball game!

As y'all have probably noticed I'm not much on boastful predictions nor am I much on gloating but in this case I have to take the opportunity to say:

Tom, Ou fans have never been know to "gloat", Bob Stoops does enough for everyone already:p

They you go Tim!!! I really thought NEB had a chance to win that game. OH well. I was playing poker over at my cousins last night and was watching the Rutgers/West Virginia game. Did anybody see that? If you like offensive blowouts on both sides and hardly any defense then that was an awesome game. And I also think that Florida will get the nod over Michigan. I think its a close call but we will see. I am just glad UCLA got the job done.

I'm starting to wonder if this is really a hospital. They've called in an exorsist to "talk" with me. There is now a large picture of Woody Hayes hanging in my room. The one doctor was listening to my heart and fell back in shock and horror. Apparently my heart was beating to the tune of Hail to the Victors (Michigan's fight song). I thought things were going well when they brought in a new video for me to watch. I was sad to find out it was a best of the Buckeyes history video. Whats even more annoying is that beig as its the greatest moments in buckeye history its only anout 90 seconds long so it repeats over and over non stop.

I did have a moment of excitement when they brought in the buckeye cheerleaders. Then they turned around and dayum did they get beat by the ugly stick....often. No wonder why buckeye fans are so moody if thats what they have to look at, Yuck.

They tell me I have to go through some electro shock therapy to rid myself of the deamons. I don't know what that is or what deamons they mean. I wonder if I should be worried.

Hey, don't knock the cheerleaders, I think they were from Michigan!!!!:D

Hmmmm.... it sure did get quiet in here. All of the OU / NU ruckus seems to have died down a bit now that the mighty Sooners have proven their superiority in the Big 12 conference despite numerous hardships. Once again we're headed to a BCS bowl, the Fiesta this time, and Bob Stoops becomes the first D1 coach to go to all 4 BCS bowls. I'm taking the opportunity to complete my own BCS Bowl attendance superfecta by making the trek to Glendale AZ to watch my beloved Sooners take on the currently-undefeated Boise State Broncos. Those guys have had a great season and I know they're anxious for the chance to prove themselves against a major-conference champion. It has the potential to be a great game!

Tim (and the rest of you Forlornhorns) - Enjoy your trip to San Antonio. If y'all don't absolutely beat the living snot out of 6-6 Iowa I'm going to be greatly disappointed. Hey, at least it's not the Holiday Bowl again.

Terry (and the rest of the Bugeater backers) - Have fun at the Cotton Bowl in Big D. It's a piece of crap as far as modern stadium standards are concerned but it has a very rich history in the world of college football and Auburn should be an excellent opponent.

tOSU - Congratulations on a phenomenal season. Florida certainly has the capability to give you all you want but I think the Buckeyes will have the upper hand when it's all said and done. I'll be sure to let you know how cool this new stadium is, everyone says it's the real bangin' shiznit, yo.

Meatchicken - I know it wasn't the destination you desired but getting to play SUC in the Rose Bowl is not exactly a minor league event. I hope y'all take this opportunity to beat the University Of Spoiled Children to a thoroughly embarrassing defeat.

Boomer Sooner!

Hi Everyone! I'm back--had internet trouble this weekend (or you can believe I just decided to hide and lick my wounds a little!) Congrats to Tom and the Sooners--wish the huskers could have played a little better. I think they just had an off game, but actually that off game was caused by OU just shutting us down, I'm afraid! Well done OU and best of luck against Boise State! Tom, I'll scan the check to DRAW and put up a picture of the check here as provenance of holding up my end of the bet! To Teri and Tim, thanks for all the support--it was appreciated and I have really enjoyed chatting with you, and Tim I, too, can't believe I became a 'Horns fan because of a drag racing message board. PJ, hope your time of tribulations is over and you will have a full recovery.

And the Cotton Bowl will be just fine with us. Hell, ANY bowl is good for us lately. We'll go and try to uphold the honor of the big 12 just like Texas will. We are beaten but unbowed. Go Huskers!

As far as the Ohio State-? game, I'll defer to the expert--Teri, who would Ohio State prefer to play if they had the choice--Florida or Michigan? I guess my pick would be Michigan for the unscientific reason that it would make the 'mater much more fun leading up to bowl game time unless we can get a rabid Florida fan to join in the madness--wouldn't that be cool?

Once again, congrats Tom on a great OU victory--the best team won, and it was a fun game to watch. Overall the blackshirts did a pretty good job against the OU offense, but we made too many mistakes to win against a great team.

Terry I was wondering about you!!!! The HUSKERS will just go win the Cotton Bowl!!!
It really doesn't matter who OHIO STATE plays because they are gonna win!!! It would of made it alot of fun with PJ & Dave again but I think the BUCKEYES will beat Florida.
I really hope Michigan beats USC, I don't really like USC.
PJ, I am sure you will be back to normal today, you were a great sport & I loved your stories!!!
This whole thread has really been so much fun, it's the first one I check in the morning!!

You're a good sport, Terry. I'm happy that the beneficiary of our wager is a worthy cause like DRAW.

The Blackshirt D definitely had our number when it came to the running game but PT was just in a zone Saturday when it came to roll-out passing. That, coupled with our defensive effort and whatever brand of glue that Malcolm Kelly had on his hands proved to be formidable indeed.

Good luck in Big D!

No kidding, Tom. PTs roll out passing and accuracy made me wish I was an OU fan so I could enjoy it! Best of luck to the Dirt Burglars at the corn chip bowl--how bout a wish for a big 12 sweep of all of their bowl games? I think we can all get on board for that one maybe?
Teri, I agree--Ohio State will dismantle Florida, and PJ and Dave I will be cheering for Michigan also--what was that line "University of Spoiled Children"? That's funny there!

Wahoo! LSU is gonna whoop up on Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl! GEAUX TIGERS! :D

Kelly I think that LSU may be the lock of the bowl games. I think followed closely by Tom's Sooners. Terry I'll be pulling for the Huskers against Auburn. Teri/Kenny I think that your team will handle Florida easily. I'll be pulling for them .... Umm ... Let me rephrase that .... I'll be pulling for a Florida loss. :D MICHIGAN of course will handle USC.

How ya doin PJ? Talk to me!

GO BLUE!!!

Holy Crap .... Kentucky's football team made a bowl game and the basketball team does not appear to be very good. It is like bizarro world ...

No fear Mike, I like ND and I hope they tear the TIgers apart which I think they will. Although, I have to say after last year ND really disappointed me this year. Oh well. Go Fighting Irish!

We finally have a Notre Dame fan, that will make things interesting!!
Are there any Florida fans????
PJ, how are you doing today??????? Any new medical mysteries?????:p

Hey, Tom or Tim, if you're out there, what do you know about Auburn? I only saw them play once this season. They are rated quite a bit higher than good ol' NU. How do you think we will stack up against them in the Cotton Bowl? And welcome, Justin, as another ND supporter in all this foolishness. Any Florida fans out there? That would really get stuff goin.

well they roll me in the bed, down the hall to the electro shock therapy room. They have these monk looking people walking next to me chanting some odd buckeye mantra. Yup I'm a little spooked. Once in the room they fire up the machine, luckily for me it catches fire and quickly engulfs the room. Somebody starts pushing the bed down the hall, racing past the elevators, afterall the buildings on fire its not safe to use them. I can see the steps coming and I know that I'm in trouble now. Surprisinly the first flight of stairs isn't that bad, either the next, sure its a little bumpy but who am I to complain. Floor 6, then 5 then 4, then uh-oh. I hear that bad thump of somebody falling. I am now on my own, on the steps with no way to turn and yes there is a window ahead of me.

The last thing I remember is crashing through the window. I'm told I landed on a life savers truck, kind of ironic. Anyway this is where it really gets wierd. I actually had one of those out of body experiences. I was floating above my body, I could see me laying there and people working on me. Am I dead? I wondered. Then I saw it, the light people talk about.. Except it wasn't white, its was a blue and yellow color. Without trying I was being drawn to it, floating further away from my body. A figure suddenly appeared and a voice I recognized.

"Son" the voice said in a familar stern tone. "There's no place for you here yet, you've got a rose bowl to go cheer for. The curse of the O can not kill the spirit of the M. Now get back there a keep fighting"

"But Bo" I asked "What about the BCS and how..."

He cut me off saying "Boy, the Rose Bowl is the grand dadiest of them all and until they have a playoff system is there really a true champ anyways, let it go and get ready for USC"

With that I started floating backwards, away from Bo. The last thing I heard him say was "Tell Dave that everything will be alright and when you take a whack at that mug with the sledge hammer, take an extra one for me."

With that I slammed back into my body, my eyes popped open starteling everyone around me. The fall from the window had broken the cast off my arms and legs and I realized nothing hurt. I slowly got up and started to walk. Thats when I saw that Dr Sewell, as she was running at me shakin that buckeye bag. I then saw as her eyes lock onto some poor guy wearing a Gator shirt. This sly smile crept across her face as she approached him.

I decided to just get out of there, hopefully that guys smart enough not to take a bet :)

PJ....too funny!

And, Justin.....I thought you were a ND fan, but I couldn't remember. I should've known! ;)
