well they roll me in the bed, down the hall to the electro shock therapy room. They have these monk looking people walking next to me chanting some odd buckeye mantra. Yup I'm a little spooked. Once in the room they fire up the machine, luckily for me it catches fire and quickly engulfs the room. Somebody starts pushing the bed down the hall, racing past the elevators, afterall the buildings on fire its not safe to use them. I can see the steps coming and I know that I'm in trouble now. Surprisinly the first flight of stairs isn't that bad, either the next, sure its a little bumpy but who am I to complain. Floor 6, then 5 then 4, then uh-oh. I hear that bad thump of somebody falling. I am now on my own, on the steps with no way to turn and yes there is a window ahead of me.

The last thing I remember is crashing through the window. I'm told I landed on a life savers truck, kind of ironic. Anyway this is where it really gets wierd. I actually had one of those out of body experiences. I was floating above my body, I could see me laying there and people working on me. Am I dead? I wondered. Then I saw it, the light people talk about.. Except it wasn't white, its was a blue and yellow color. Without trying I was being drawn to it, floating further away from my body. A figure suddenly appeared and a voice I recognized.

"Son" the voice said in a familar stern tone. "There's no place for you here yet, you've got a rose bowl to go cheer for. The curse of the O can not kill the spirit of the M. Now get back there a keep fighting"

"But Bo" I asked "What about the BCS and how..."

He cut me off saying "Boy, the Rose Bowl is the grand dadiest of them all and until they have a playoff system is there really a true champ anyways, let it go and get ready for USC"

With that I started floating backwards, away from Bo. The last thing I heard him say was "Tell Dave that everything will be alright and when you take a whack at that mug with the sledge hammer, take an extra one for me."

With that I slammed back into my body, my eyes popped open starteling everyone around me. The fall from the window had broken the cast off my arms and legs and I realized nothing hurt. I slowly got up and started to walk. Thats when I saw that Dr Sewell, as she was running at me shakin that buckeye bag. I then saw as her eyes lock onto some poor guy wearing a Gator shirt. This sly smile crept across her face as she approached him.

I decided to just get out of there, hopefully that guys smart enough not to take a bet :)
Praise the Lord! PJ is back among the living!!! And best of all, I can now cheer for both M and tOSU. PJ, you got another Michigan fan on board for the Bowl game, and thanks for all the laughs during your affliction--that was classic stuff! Teri, sure glad you won that one--brought much merriment to all of us. Ain't this a great thread? Think all we need is a Florida and USC fan to chime in and we're really on the way

PJ....too funny!

And, Justin.....I thought you were a ND fan, but I couldn't remember. I should've known! ;)

Well I am one of the few who likes several teams and probably the only one who likes both Texas and Texas A&M. I like ND though. I think its b/c of watching Rudy when I was little or something. I dont know anyone that has ever went there and I have never been there, but I like Charlie Weiss also. Dont know, but I hate the state of LA so I cant pull for anyone there. SOrry Kel, I hate it. I wish they would put explosives around the whole damn state and just let it finish sinking into the swamp. Nobody would miss it. (Sorry if I piss anyone off, but people from Texas just hate LA mostly) Its comes along with being born a Texan. Its breed into you to hate LA and Oklahoma.

Its comes along with being born a Texan. Its breed into you to hate LA and Oklahoma.
And therein lies my conundrum....

* Born in Oklahoma (and love that place!)
* Raised in Texas (and love this place!)
* Enjoy vacationing in Louisiana (and love that place!)

:D

What can I say Kelly, your unique! OK is okay with me, I just hate OU but the state is alright I guess. LA on the other hand, well lets just say I hated it before, but once Katrina came, I hate it even more.

PJ,

How does it feel to be back to normal??????? I am gonna miss your great stories, they were sooooo funny!!!!!:p
Was it a good feeling taking down that big beautiful O and putting up that ugly ole M??
I am gonna be right there with you cheering Michigan on because I hate USC.

Thank BO! PJ Bless your cotton pickin Maize and Blue heart! You're OK!!! Welcome home!

Welcome aboard Mike! Don't be afraid to stand your ground! Well then again I'm probably not the right person to be giving that kind of advice. That same belief almost got PJ killed! I'm stuck eating crow and I'll be drinking my favorite morning beverage out of a toilet (Sorry Teri :D ) ... I mean.... Ohio State coffee mug for weeks to come!!

GO BLUE!!!

Well Dave and PJ......i am now on your band wagon for the Rose Bowl.....because as an ND fan i am obligated to despise USC and i fulfill my obligation honorably and admirably!!! :D

Thanks, Dave! And it feels really good to be able to pull 100% for the Wolverines against SC...GO BLUE!

Hey Terry, where is that BUCKEYE support??????

No problem there, Teri! You KNOW I'll be rooting for the Buckeyes cause everyone knows they will totally destroy the Gators! (that ought to let us know if there are any Florida fans out there!) I was just telling Dave that I could ALSO pull for Michigan this time also against USC! I'll be cheering for Ohio State, you can bet on that! You did all you could for the Huskers and I even went out to the field near my house and picked an ear of corn before the combine got there to shake for the buckeyes....not as good as a buckeye bag, I know, but after all, I am from Nebraska...nuff said! GO Buckeyes!

Justin, sorry to hear about your hatred for La. For the most part we are friendly folk, that love having a good time! We even can't wait for all the Notre Dame fans to come down and have some fun down here. Of course LSU may have to take care of a little business come game day! Geaux Tigers!

Thanks for reading along and putting up with my craziness everyone. I had fun.

Its a shame that Florida made it, I don't believe that they are the second best team but I can't argue that they don't deserve a shot. Although any school that plays a game against a div2 schoollike florida did, should not be able to play for any title :) If they stay within 14 of OSU I will be shocked.

Michigan has a tough task with USC, as much as I would love for them to just blow them away, just to prove a point to the bcs'ers I don't know if thats possible. Michigan should win but it will be a close game.

I wonder what would happen if Florida nips OSU and Michigan destroys USC, a couple of years ago that resulted in lsu and usc sharing the title, I wonder if that could happen again?

Notre Dumb doesn't stand a chance. I was worried when it looked like Michigan was gonna play LSU, they're a good team.

I still wish there was a playoff system. They could still have the bowls for the non playoff teams, the best of both worlds but we'd actually have a championship decided on the field on not by fickle voters.

Michigan doesn't lose for 2 weeks, yet gets passed twice in the polls. First usc, then florida.

The Sugar Bowl is terribly difficult for me to come to terms with this time around. Being a Sooner it's nearly unlawful to root for ND since they're the ones who broke our 46-game winning streak oh so many years ago, a game that my folks attended. However, I can think of only 2 occasions in the past zillion or so games I've been to that I've been treated worse by opposing fans than I was in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl when we played LSU a few years ago. The locals, mind you, were awesome... we stayed in Metairie and everyone there from the hotel staff to the waiters / greeters / servers in the restaurants were awesome and the food was kick-ass! (Carmine's in Metairie was awesome!) However, a great many of the LSU fans both inside the Superdome and out, both before and after the game displayed actions and said things that were positively deplorable. Add to that the fact that I just plain don't like Les Miles and thus I'm in a quandry.

So, all that being said, my gut instinct is that LSU will absolutley stomp a mudhole in ND's azz. Not that I care much either way but if the betting lines are within reason this may be the only Bowl that I bet on this year.

Boomer Sooner!

PJ, I was puzzling on that very thing also--let's say Michigan destroys USC and Ohio State wins narrowly--who is No. 1 then? Or both Michigan and Ohio State obliterate their opponents by large margins--what then? It will be interesting, but both you and Teri can rest assured that your teams will handily defeat your respective bowl opponents. After all the hue and cry, Ohio State and Michigan are STILL the best two teams in the country.

No worries Gary, I am sure you wont miss me being over there anytime soon! I have some friends from there. The people are ok for the most part. I've attened many races over there in the past and visited your casinos several times each year. Its just Houston is feed up with the Katrina New Orleans people. I swear if I see one more on tv complaining about FEMA cutting there money I'm going to scream. Yall are going to see me on the news next for killing some idiot with a sign that says, "ITS BEEN OVER A YEAR, GET A DAMN JOB!" Dont get me wrong, I feel sorry for the people who lost everything. I really do, but I am ready for the losers they sent over here (and trust me, they sent alot) to go back home, and it isint ever going to happen.

Tim, are you out there? What's the feeling on the upcoming 'Horns game with Iowa? My first reaction is that the Horns will have a cakewalk against Iowa--what are the Horn fans thinking? Will McCoy be ready? Haven't heard a report on him since the second injury......

Some good points but here's a couple of things in regard to your remarks:

re: Michigan - I hope they knock the living snot out of the University of Spoiled Children. While technically you're correct in that they didn't lose for 2 weeks, the reality is that they didn't play for 2 weeks thus giving other schools the opportunity to hopscotch 'em. Perhaps if the Big Televen ever concocts a Conference Championship Game that won't been an issue at some point in the future.

re: ND / LSU - I agree completely.

re: LSU / USC Split Title - LSU won the BCS Championship game by a touchdown in the Sugar Bowl and were indeed the champions. USC had a championship invented for them by the AP. Basically there was no "shared title" except in the minds of SUC, the almighty AP and, of course, ESPN and their legion of Big 10 / Pac 10 mind-numbed robots.
