I have been told that if they removed the timing retarder that they could hit 350 plus already. Maybe that is incorrect but it certainly seems believable. I am surprised they haven’t tried to slow them down yet honestly. If the track has an adequate shutdown I say let em rip, but I see both sides.

I’m betting if someone does hit 350, Goodyear and/or NHRA’s insurance company will quickly step in and demand an immediate change to the rev limiter to slow the cars.
It might even happen before then.

I believe TF and AA/FC typically run 36X17.5x16 tires; the alcohol classes, 34.5X17.0X16. The tire compound itself differs, each tailored for their respective class.
