When I see 100% chance of rain for Saturday it makes me wonder if the NHRA should be thinking about adding another qualifying session for Pro on Friday? Just asking.

Steve, that would be proactive not reactive, and we all know that the NHRA is incapable of taking any kind of initiative without NASCAR doing it first.

Very favorable forecast. Doesn't mean one of the Pro sessions couldn't be in jeopardy and you are certainly familiar with the chaos any rain delay brings to the Sportsman schedule. But, you still have to wait and see. I don't see any "washouts" in either of our weather sources. Remembering, it is still only a prognostication at its best.
Hey Joe, I agree. The nearby NHRA Wally Parks Motorsports Museum is on my list of places to visit if I ever make it out to Pomona. There are endless other places to see and go in L.A. and even some family and friends to visit if desired. Anyway, glad to hear you can get away for the WinterNats as I thought you were having to curtail your travels to NHRA events most of the year due to your new job. You mentioned skipping the Gatornationals this year anyway. Have a good time in Pomona and the weather forecast is starting to look better.
On Wednesday one of the girls at the credentials trailer told me they had 27 teams call in and withdraw in a 30 minute time period. Since the only way into the L.A. basin is the Cajon Pass, the Ridge Route or the Banning Pass it seemed many feared they would get stuck due to the possibility of low elevation snow predictioned.
