Hope your right!my bet is Jim O joins Kloeber at Stringer
I don't get that. Why would Klober be gone? That car has been running well since last fall. Jim Os car, not so much.Klober gone, Jim O taking over Clay's car.
I don't see Kloeber going anywhere and would be stunned if that happened....but on the flip side, if it is a cut and dry addition of Jim O, you'd think there would be an announcement by nowI certainly hope Klober stays. They really deserve a chance at an NHRA championship after all of their IHRA success together.
That being said I notice a lot of negativity toward Jim Oberhofer taking over. I would think he could do well. Wasn’t he the one who tuned Doug Kalitta to a lot of his most successful times? Even Alan Johnson seemed to struggle a bit with funny cars.

Im sure kloeber will land something soon, right after he got his new office chair too lol.Jim Oberhofer named crew chief on Clay Millican Parts Plus Top Fueler
Stringer Performance will have a new crew chief when it rolls into the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals this weekend in Las Vegas as Jim Oberhofer will take over the tuning on the Parts Plus Top Fuel dragster driven by Clay Millican for the remainder of the 2022 season.www.nhra.com
Do you know for sure he didn't quit? What in the world did Kloeber do to get shit canned? Top 5 in points isn't too bad.
I always thought that maybe true about parts, has to be hard to be a crew chief and not run full blast.agree - i believe Kloeber to be one of the best crew chiefs out there, and has a 3.6X tune-up but was under immense pressure to not hurt parts (or let's say - extend the life of parts longer than Torrence, for example) because of the small Stringer budget
