I think it was a 5yr deal and next year would have been the last year. Given the way The Sheik has pulled back in recent years wouldn't be shocked to see this.

And trying to figure out how the player will play in 110+ Degree heat and not die of heat exhaustion. Another good move by FIFA (Soccer's governing body) by awarding them the World Cup! You think the NHRA is bad? They don't compare to FIFA.

I believe they plan on upgrading several stadiums already in place but they plan building 12 new ones with AC.

Qatar hasn't really began to build up for the World Cup yet, we are all hoping it will start soon!

Don't think a few million is a significant amount to the whole process that is measured in billions.

And it's in the 70's here right now, high in the 80's so no issue racing!

Not likely happening. Matt and family had their own team and moved to DSR. Matt tweeted this earlier, so this doesn't sound like someone starting his own team. "And as soon as Don and @shoeracing let's me know who our new crew Chief is I will let you guys know! Thanks for all the support from my fans"
