That was back in the good old days when EVERYBODY would do pre-season testing here in Vegas. I spent a lot of time hanging around their pit that weekend because there were Swift Engineering folks everywhere constantly looking at data and making adjustments to the body. I talked to them for a long time about their somewhat failed CART experiment and building lower formula open wheelers, to what they were doing to the Celica body and how much the data in the real world differed from what they saw in the wind tunnel. They were all very nice and very open, they were probably caught off guard because I was the only guy there that wanted to talk to them instead of AJ or Scelzi. Last I heard, Swift backed out and Alan Johnson owned all of the molds, bodies and rights to the bodies. I do not know if that is still the case.
PS I can't believe that has already been 12 or 13 years ago!
