Major JFR announcement at PRI show Friday, December 12th.

The Millican Grubnic Larson deal sounds great! Now I got a team to root for even though Lance spells his last name wrong!

Spose everyone figgered out I meant this to be on the Millican Grubnic Larson thread, no? Damn, this gettin old stuff is tough. I'm not a spring chicken like Karl anymore!

Actually Terry, I spelled Lance's name wrong in the thread I posted.......the correct spelling is consistent with your last name.

Per Speed Sport news
SPEED SPORT was on hand in the Lucas Oil booth Friday at the Performance Industry Trade Show when Force, adorned in his familiar Castrol green, white and red colors, made an unexpected visit on Lucas turf.

“Two more weeks and I’m yours,” a breathless Force said as he walked into the booth and shook hands with drag racer and Lucas Oil heir Morgan Lucas.

"According to several sources Robert is having some personal problems. Not sure if the rumors are true or not. If they are all bets are off and anything is possible".

Sources......... as in fans spouting off or actually inside info from someone from the team or a media source.

Force would be best suited in this...

The story I recall on this body was that Hans Kusel rented a MB, took it home and splashed a mold off it. I think he said it only screwed the paint up a little bit.

Loved this team. Always cheered them on at Pomona.

That was back in the good old days when EVERYBODY would do pre-season testing here in Vegas. I spent a lot of time hanging around their pit that weekend because there were Swift Engineering folks everywhere constantly looking at data and making adjustments to the body. I talked to them for a long time about their somewhat failed CART experiment and building lower formula open wheelers, to what they were doing to the Celica body and how much the data in the real world differed from what they saw in the wind tunnel. They were all very nice and very open, they were probably caught off guard because I was the only guy there that wanted to talk to them instead of AJ or Scelzi. Last I heard, Swift backed out and Alan Johnson owned all of the molds, bodies and rights to the bodies. I do not know if that is still the case.

PS I can't believe that has already been 12 or 13 years ago!

You mean this one? :)
