Hoping to see Tommy Johnson JR getting that empty seat!
He also had Cornwell tools at one time, and they were down the street from each other. We can rule out Skuza. He was a Matco guy.![]()
Guessing JFR has received 67 resume's and more coming in daily.

I just picked myself up off the floor. As a DJ, I hear the reference ALL the time.As a dad of a 12 yo, please no 6 7.
Tommy Johnson seems like a good guy, and of course he as the experience, but we need some of these younger drivers stepping up.Hoping to see Tommy Johnson JR getting that empty seat!
Same with myself and Kalitta Air. I’ve got the ratings, just need to build some hours.I already received my refusal letter.
How bout Daniel Wilkerson as the new JFR driver.Same with myself and Kalitta Air. I’ve got the ratings, just need to build some hours.
Could we hear a driver yell "KABLOOIE " while actually blowing the body off his own car?I think it would be fun to watch Alan Reinhart as the new PILOT for John Force racing. He would PILE it into this and PILE it into that.

You know how to end that whole trend right away? Introduce these kids to the concept of 9 - 5As a dad of a 12 yo, please no 6 7.

I was 16 when I got my 69….Also, avoid the 420, and stay away from 69 and 71 until legal adulthood.
Not a dam Alan, go for itWhat could possibly go wrong?

That’s a good question, Jim. I was the bottom end/short block guy on that team for a bit. I still talk to Phil every once in a while. Not sure why he never got another shot at another full time ride. I know he is slated to drive the new Nitro Funny Car that Jay Blake is supposed to be bringing out.Since we're all speculating, I have a question: why hasn't Phil Burkhart Jr found a steady ride after being downsized from the Worsham's second team? I always felt he was very under rated, very good with the fans, etc. Anyone have insight on this?
Same reason that countless others haven't found full time rides, there's always going to be way more people that want to drive than there are seats. All of motorsports is that way. The only surefire way to guarantee a ride is to own it yourself.Since we're all speculating, I have a question: why hasn't Phil Burkhart Jr found a steady ride after being downsized from the Worsham's second team? I likely saw you several years ago then, lol. I was lucky enough to score hospitality area tickets at Sears Point the last year of the two car team, so I got to get close up between the teams. I was a fan of Phil's from the Nitro Fish days and he didn't disappoint. He was extremely generous with his time and I could tell he genuinely loved driving funny cars. If you happen to speak to him again, make sure you tell him a random-ass fan (Me) speaks highly of him. That’s a good question, Jim. I was the bottom end/short block guy on that team for a bit.
