actually its MILLER-COORS now. Back on the good side of the town:)

Hmmm....

No mention of Miller-Coors here

History - Molson Coors Brewing Company

or here

Newsroom - Molson Coors Brewing Company

These businesses and their websites need to get their acts together. Buried in a timeline on the MillerCoors website is this blurb...

2008

SABMiller and Molson Coors enter a joint venture to create MillerCoors, whose remarkable brand strength and highly talented people form a high-potential new brewing company with a unique foundation of great beer brands and 288 years of brewing experience and heritage.

The ugly sponsorship losses are an unfortunate trend. I will not stop drinking Bud because they quit sponsoring the Bernsteins. Instead I will thank them for supporting the best form of automobile racing that I have had the privilege of watching for a number of years.

Thanks Budweiser for your support for 30 plus years!

No,thank AB for the 30 years of support. Inbev took over and supported the Bernsteins for 1 whole year before saying bye bye. Hmm..So in essense, you're supporting the company who yanked out the rug from under the KBR camp.

It's MolsonCoors, which entered into a joint venture with SABMiller last year.

That's true. But the way I understand it is that Molson-Coors is essentially under contract with SAB to brew and distribute Miller products.

While I'm not a Bernstein fan, I still hate to see the team lose a long time sponsor like Budweiser. In fact it's pretty damn sad that it's come to this. I can't help but wonder if Bud will also pull it's "Official Beer of NHRA" sponsorship once the contract expires?

For the record, I switched from A-B products when InBev acquired the company. To hell with them.

Is there any d*mn thing both made in this country and owned by Americans, or have we sold out everything overseas????

ESPN site reports that the NHRA official beer deal is history also.

Absolutely Steve--I am afraid the Chinese are going to hold the mortgage to the whole place before long.

Note to self, drive to golden tomorrow and tell Pete Coors to take down that Miller-Coors sign at the brewery:) hey chris Wilt...want to join me for 'the short tour'?

on the plus side we finally made mainstream news 9and not for an accident) my wife was on a Detroit tv station website today and saw a blurb on it

It is sad to see this day come, but as others have said this was coming with the Inbev purchase of Bud. You do have to applaud the company giving KBR ample notice that they are not returning. I hope Kenny has success finding an adequate replacement.

Timmah, the publicly traded company is Molson Coors Brewing Company. Miller Coors is a JV for only the US portion of the business, but the official title (in filings with the SEC) of the company is Molson Coors.

If your not outraged you're not paying attention. NASCAR is staying. I met Brandon at Breakfast in the hotel at Indy a couple years ago and he was very nice. I also met KB's wife as we were both doing some work in the hotel's small business center room. She was as nice as could be.

I am aware of that paul. Thats why i will go to the brewery and tell Pete to stop confusing us lowly red neck people from this dusty old cow town... I will also ask Pete to remove that misleading name on the side of that big tall building downtown, (WHERE THE corp HQ is) While i am at it, i will stop by the AB brewery in ft collins and thank them for 30 years of supporting NHRA Drag Racing. I might even pick up a case of fresh beer and bring it to Vegas and share it with Reinhart...everyone seems to be forgetting him in all this. :) Martin, can you make sure all the sharp objects are taken from him?

GREAT--Drag racing makes the mainstream news for crashes, somebody dying, and long time sponsorships coming to an end. A top fuel car could run 500 mph and would only make the news as an unsponsored privateer who crashed at the end of the run and died.

the article states 'anheuser-busch's budweiser brand will no longer be with
the bernsteins'........the optimistic thought would be perhaps in-bev
can still use the nhra for another brand??
