That could be "the optimistic thought " after all Coke took a family oriented electrolyte brand Powerade and replaced it with a drink marketed for the 21-35 age group. Its a sugar laded caffine induced wasteful drink called "Full Throttle" The name is more fitting, I'll give you that.

You guys do know that SABMiller is not a american owned company?

Incorporated: 1895 as The South African Breweries Limited

2002: SAB acquires Miller Brewing Company, the number two U.S. beer maker, from Philip Morris Companies Inc. for $3.48 billion in stock; company renames itself SABMiller plc.

Just cause I was curious thats:

Full Throttle:
160 mg Sodium (only 5 times more then Coke)
57 grams Sugar (only 15 Teaspoons)
3000 mg Caffine (only 130 times more then Coke)

Coke:
33mg Sodium
Not listed Sugar
23mg Caffine

And Coke removes rusty bolts

the article states 'anheuser-busch's budweiser brand will no longer be with
the bernsteins'........the optimistic thought would be perhaps in-bev
can still use the nhra for another brand??

I don't know Mike? I think they would keep the good vibes going with BUD all year long then unveil the Bud Light car at Pomona in November, if that were the case.

Now, am I hoping the BUD car wins the TF championship and the #9 circle track car DNF's each event......probably!!

John we also use it to clean Battery post in the 36 V Starter Packs for AA/FA :D
And it will strip paint off

Remember Global Economy means we all get to share in the S&^%!

When I was in the stands at G-ville, they played a piece on the jumbotron touting KB's 30 year sponsorship with Budweiser. Talk about bad timing to air that!

What ever happened to the Bud frogs??
Its too bad Budweiser is leaving. Be nice to have a craft beer sponsor Bernestien but the economy I am sure has something to do with it.
I personally never liked Budweiser. Gives me headachs. Due in part Bud uses lots of rice to make Bud.
I remember at the L.A. county Fair Bud had a display about how they make their beer.
I just happened to have gone to Golden Colorado that summer (Mile High nationals, great place Morrison) and saw how Coors makes beer using 6 row barley instead of 2 row like Bud.
Salesman at L.A. Fair said 6 row makes a better beer but its tooo hard to make. What a joke. I told the guy to pay a visit to Golden to see how real beer is made.
Maybe Coors will come on as a sponsor. Wouldn't that be a kick in the butt to Bud!!

Like many others, I'm surprised it took this long.

For all of those thanking A-B for their years of sponsorship, you're thanking the wrong people. Those people took the money and ran. It took Inbev just a matter of months to bail out, probably just as quickly as they could get their lawyers on it. Mr. Brita (head of Inbev) told everyone here before the buyout was approved that he truly admired A-B's marketing (especially sports) and not to expect any significant changes.

From here at ground zero (St Louis) it's getting increasingly ugly. Inbev does not look to be a good steward of the Budweiser name.

In the last month of so, they've:

Informed their suppliers that for the privilege of doing business with them (and since Inbev was in Europe and it's really complicated to get the money back over here (!) ) all invoices would now be paid a minimum of 120 days out. Note: beer wholesalers still need to pay their bills promptly. And my bartender didn't buy it when I told him I'd pay him 4 months from now for the Select he served me yesterday...

Decided that the "born on" date isn't so important after all and are beginning to remove it from a bunch of their brands.

Yeah, that's the quality that A-B was known for.

Plus, some wonderful people who worked in Motorsports Marketing for many, many, years were simply told, "See ya!".

In the interest of fairness, I should mention that I worked for A-B back in the day.

Note to self, drive to golden tomorrow and tell Pete Coors to take down that Miller-Coors sign at the brewery:) hey chris Wilt...want to join me for 'the short tour'?

Hell I'm in, lets head up the mountain and stick a boot in Pete's rear. Sorry to hear about AB and KB......no more Bud Ice, or BL for me...I'm done.

One of our Western Washington drivers is behind the wheel of that #9. No way do I want to see that happen.

(By the way, Kahne also owns a World of Outlaws team that is sponsored by Bud. I hope that the Joey Saldana ride doesn't lose its' Bud sponsorship as well).

Maybe Sam Adams or even Yuengling can be the official beer, they're the top 2 American breweries now that Budweiser is Belgian. if not Coors just because Molson is Canadian it's still in North America

Speaking of Sponsors When Will PC Richard & Son become the official Appliance & Electronics Store of the NHRA?

Maybe we can hope them dam* furriners have as much luck with A-B as Diamler Benz had with Chrysler.

I hate to see this happen...but agree it was probably a done deal as soo as InBev acquired A-B.I hope Kenny and Brandon find a sponsor and continue racing,I'd hate to see the "King of Speed" sidelined due to lack of sponsorship.
Another question comes to mind though....What will happen to "Bud Corner" at Brainerd?...

;)I can assure you that Mr. Richards wants nothing to do with that whole fiasco. He quietly (and very happily) sponsors, and funds, the National Open Series in Division 1 and is in no way obligated beyond what he is comfortable with. He would have nothing to do with all of the restrictive demands that would be placed on him as a National level sponsor.

You are just a little off on that caffeine content, about twenty times too high.
3000 mg of caffeine would land you in the E.R.
Caffeine in Full Throttle
