"The double wide is a bit crowded with the mother in law, 60" wide screen LCD,and the sister/wife..... but we all like NASCAR just fine.

Had to call 911 when Little E got wrecked there by Kyle Busch.
4th time the cops were here on Saturday night.

Oh well......."

It isn't me,just a Jerry Springer episode idea I had.:D:D:D

If you've seen/heard/felt 33+ NASCAR cars coming around for the start, it's hard to imagine any motorhead not thinking "well, OK, that's cool". 500 miles is a long time, and although it's pretty amazing that they can keep those high horsepower engines running that long, it can get awfully boring. But so can that seemingly endless time between the semis and the finals at an NHRA race. ;)

So I guess I have a mixed relationship with NASCAR... "yes/no" doesn't work for me.

You are forgetting all the others cars that run between the pro semis and pro finals.

No, I'm not. We run a Super Comp car. I watch 'em all. Still takes forever, because they're in their finals then, and there are just a few of them to run.

And (no offense Alan) if I see that country music gingoistic tribute to America video one more time, I'm gonna puke. I know I have a lot of choices for spending my entertainment dollar, and it doesn't include that :)

I think the "car of tomorrow" sucks. I liked it better when the cars resembled something that you could actually buy. Kind of like pro stock maybe? I also dont like the way the powers that be try to "sanitize" the sport. I like to see drivers show some emotion. Guess I am just kind of old school (well come to think of it I am old--just ask my kids!!!). I miss Dale, the Allison brothers fighting with Cale on the back stretch at Daytona, Richard Petty, crash and burn on the short tracks, and all the other fun stuff. Seeing cars that cant pass at Talledega and endless laps with no lead changes bores me too. Instead of watching Jimmy Johnson being interviewed and saying "Gee, our Hendrick Motorsports Lowes Chevrolet ran good today on those Goodyear tires", I'd rather see Dale Sr say "Hell you saw what happened--that b***ard wrecked me"!!!!!!! Cookiecutter cars with pre recorded sponsor plugging drivers sucks in any motorsport!!!!!!!!:(

that's about the funniest thing i've read in a LONG time!!

NASCAR won't let you say "Hell you saw what happened--that b***ard wrecked me" on TV anymore... remember they fined Dale Jr. for just saying Sh*t a couple years ago.

I used to love NASCAR. Now I guess I only like it. A few more retirements and a couple more new "punk" drivers and I may ignore it eventually. I do like nearly all racing though. Case in point, on the way to the INDY 500 later this month my brother and I plan on seeing the USAC Sprints Thursday night, the USAC Silver Crown cars on Friday night and the Night Before the 500 for USAC Midgets at IRP on Saturday night. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate.

In order to really like Nascar you need three things

A. A old pickup truck ....... rusty muli colored fenders

B. A house that has wheels ...... single or double wide

C. A fat wife with two teeth ...... to open the warm beer

That sounds like a great trip man. Good luck with that weather!

I would go to nascar if I didn't have nhra and irl and hopefully one day again F1. But I do , so I don't ;)

All you NASCAR fans join in on the new forum, it will be interesting especially when Drag Racing is idle. Don't get me wrong my heart still beats for my favorite sport DRAG RACING. :D
