The same PR logic that makes the kitten story or the scooter story or the <fill*in*the*blank> story actually get airtime, Joe... ;)

It's historic in the sense that this is the first time a professional racing team has fielded entries with two different woman driving in the two separate classes. It may not be the type of history that makes your jaw hit the ground, but it is significant, especially from a PR standpoint. JFR has the best media machine in the business, and headlines like this do get attention.

Good post, Mike.

Heard this back in November from my Brownsburg operative...............

Brittany got the funding of the driver who finished the highest in points out of the team the last 2 yrs. I know it is a business, but that does suck for Neff even though the press release says it was "his choice".

I thought Angelle and Erica ran the same time under Schumacher......Maybe not......

After all the media attention Lady drivers have given NHRA over the years....Shirley and Heart like a Wheel, Lori Johns was everywhere in 1990 doing talk shows, you name it! Good Morning America was in Topeka to interview Shelly Anderson and even video taped her doing a Burnout! CBS Sunday Morning doing a feature on Melanie Troxel about 3-4 years back, Driving Force the TV show.....

My point is Drag racing continues to be considered a second rate Motorsport by the Media at large...

It'll be interesting to see how well the BOSS 500 fares in TF...

It will be interesting to see how a single car team with their own parts stacks up to the DSR/AJR combos out there that are proven. IMO I think they will struggle to be in the top 10 this year unless they get a technical alliance with DSR or AJ.

the BOSS 500 logo is nothing more than a sticker on the typical HEMI! this has been beat to death on here, not to mention I looked at one at the PRI show a few years ago...

So you're saying it is more of an unproven team than it is BOSS 500 vs AJPE, with AJPE being proven in TF for several years in a row? No trying to start an argument...

A JFR/DSR alliance?!?!?! ... Dead rising from the graves ... cats and dogs living together ... mass hysteria!

Single car teams can have success (see: Torrence, Steve) but it is tough. Force has proven willing to bring the girls along slowly, and it was successful for Ashley and Courtney, so I am willing to cut them some slack and adjust expectations.

I still say this will be a 2 car team in '14 with a young lady in the other seat too ...

If I am not mistaken Torrence has a AJR alliance. He buys his key parts from AJ and the start up tune up came from AJ and we know Hogan's background.
