I apologize. I try hard to refrain. I watch as short snipe after short snipe goes on and on. I ignore them. I never bring up politics first. But when people put a two page political argument into a thread about attendance, or inject politics into every single topic without regard to their subject, I find it hard.

I understand that Chris, but I just try to ignore the political comments, whether I agree with them or not.

If it's too hard you might consider resigning as a moderator.

Kevin Stith has been locked out of Nitromater since you moved/deleted the last thread where he commented. Is this something you've done or is it a glitch on his end? Shannon says he'll look into it, but as of this afternoon Kevin is still locked out.

I don't know HOW to lock people out. I moved one thread (the attendance thread) to the politics room, after it got into nothing but politics. I have never blocked anyone, as I said, I wouldn't know how to do it if I wanted to.

Christopher, Mr. Stith (or you, if he's unable to log in) can contact your admin and get that corrected immediately. I've handled the same issue more times than I care to count. It's a very common problem that happens for different reasons. Takes longer to get hold of your administrator than it takes the admin to fix it.

Stith DOES have cookies enabled ?? Just asking.

Wow. And all this time I though the NY Times would not ever print the word "drag racing" in fear it would offend some liberal up in the Hamptons. All joking aside it's a great story one that everyone should read.

It's always a good thing when any Drag racer gets ink in a Major paper. However since when has winning a Drag race been hard for racers over 60? And second....anyone wonder where John Force's career would be today had he not hooked up with Austin Coil 25 years ago?

He surely would have died in a crash or fire by now. Or maybe shot by somebody he owed money.:D

The business relationship Austin has with John is just as beneficial to him as the other way around. They've both had a huge part in the success we see today.

While primarily a "stick and ball" sports section, the New York Times has done stories on Antron Brown in the past year. In the past they have also done stories on TJ & Mel and Angelle S.

The Sports Departments of most large Metro newspapers have been decimated by budget cuts, it is time to get used to the new world economy, particularly in newspapers and print magazines.

It ain't what it used to be and drag racing has never been very interesting to many newspaper people.

Maybe the editors saw the Subhead and thought it was a Gay event in San Francisco???
