I don't know who put that race on(Duck X production?) but I bet his phone is ringing off the hook with calls from track operators.
Also they had 30,000 viewers a few times of the weekend.

The grandstands in Pomona today easily seat 40% more today than in the 1960's even with a shorter track. The break at the return road was just that, and the stands were likely 1/2 the height they are now.
This is a shot from 1975 at the return road break near the starting line. Notice the grand stands.
Those Pomona stands are deceptively large. They also extend a lot further down the track than say, Vegas.
Was surprised the first time I went to Vegas to see those huge stands finished around the 500ft mark.
Saw some Lights Out 7 action via their free streaming service. Meanwhile, we're still waiting on the NHRA to get their 2016 broadcast to Australia.
Jay, I was at Pomona, and that was shot early Saturday, after the alcohol qualifying session, but still an hour or two before the first Pro Session of the day.
The blue car did a 1,000ft burnout, couldn't get it in reverse and idled off the track. His burnout was so far down the track, that it didn't even slow the green car's program down by not being able to backup LOL.
