Did Force and KB Crash? (1 Viewer)

Here is the quote from Dave Densmore PR rep of Team Force, “Kenny hit a cone, which every driver has done at some time or another. However, when given access to video from all angles, it's obvious that the cone goes behind John's car and is never a factor."

I think several of us here agree, it's definitely not the cone(s). But what about the debris that the guys with HD can see shoot forward and to the left that they say goes under John's car? Just because it's not the blocks doesn't mean it couldn't be pieces of reflector (if they're not stickers) or small pieces of bodywork. Even a small piece of carbon fiber or plastic could be enough to damage the tire.

From what I heard, Darrell's death was simply the result of a wayward wing strut that was sheared off and went into the rollcage when the tire blew. Why do you think they have the roll cage shielding? To keep the wing strut should it get sheared off or other parts from spearing drivers.

But where's the official report? Remember, they were getting ready to release it 2 years ago.

With no disrespect to Dave, Paul,I believe he also said, in a release, that John ran into Kenny's car and hit the wall in the right lane. John was way back against the wall in the left lane (barely visable in most videos) and it was the front section of his car that hit Bernstein, and then rode down the wall.

Hopefully, something concrete will be forthcoming.

I have a feeling Julie's lawsuit is preventing the report from being released. Just a guess.

There has never been a written report about anyone killed in NHRA competition to date....Or even an accident....Things are spilled over to the rule book w/ changes/revisions....

I said this before and I'll say it again...pieces of Kenny's body went across the lane under John's car. Have you not seen what a timing block will do to a carbon fiber body at 300+ MPH? The block caused the damage and the splinters went into John's path.....

Does anyone remember seeing a full report of Eric's wreck???? What makes you think they will or need to release that info to the public.....

I've got the race recorded and I have HD. What I'm about to say is the way it appears to me after looking @ it several times frame by frame . I no expert,don't claim to be and never will be,just what I'm seeing. When KB hit the first block,you can see something shiny shooting across into Force's lane,could be a reflector or another object and I can't tell if it went under or behind Force. If they use tape,I don't think that's what I'm seeing. KB is almost a full car ahead @ the finish line so I'm believe something would have time to get over there. You can see what appears to be a tire chunking,pieces flying up everywhere and @ the hit of the chutes,the car starts separating. You can even see a flash of fire in one of the frames but went out quickly. When the chutes hit,the car separated and the most amazing thing happened,the part Force was in went up instead of down,then tilted downward but never flipped over,that's the amazing part to me. If it had flipped,it could have been a lot worse IMHO. I'm in no way saying that KB caused it by hitting the blocks or if a piece from them got in the other lane,just what I'm seeing happen frame by frame.

In all the footage I saw (HD as well), including the pics of the axle/cage after the incident, I never saw a tire that was delaminated or all chunked up. I'll admit I could have missed it... But, where I'm going is, for arguments sake if the tire never came apart and the first piece of debris that shot up on the left side of Force's car ripped the body/quarter panel/spillplate, could enough force (no pun intended) have been applied to the rear of the chassis through the reminants of the wing to have destroyed the chassis like that?

10 to 1 odds they already know what happend and if they don't they are damn close to knowing or have a pretty good idea and in my opinion the only people that need to know are the chassis builder(s), the team owners and drivers (in all forms of funny car racing) and the guy who writes the rule book.....but that isnt to say that i (along with many owners) wouldn't like to know

I think I have the answer....it's the new points system that is causing all of this shit! It has everyone so keyed up they have to ponder other things...

I'm glad Mr. Force is OK and I'm sure the higher powers that be will get it all sorted out or atleast I hope they do before some of you on here have strokes!

Welcome to Nitromater Steve. I think that you'll find that the vast majority of 'maters are nice. (Unlike the days when people could hide behind a screen name. ) Even back then, most members were 'nice'.
