I can relate, I entered a local drag race at the local track. I won my class, got the trophy and check. I was the only car that was in the class. I tell the story of winning an event and money. I am not lying.
I had a big tire car and was rebuilding the engine so I thought it would be fun to stick an inline 6 in it to go out and play. I had the only 6 cylinder auto combo with over 9" slicks. The results made the local paper too. What was interesting to me was it was a GM and the I6 bolted right up to the mounts and trans.
