Best place to sit at Indy?

Going back to Indy after a 15 year break. Any recommendations on where to get seats? What about hotel rooms? Probably SOL there...

Depends....if being close to the Pro pits is your thing, the East side! However if the sun being at your back being in the shade by 2-2:30 PM is your thing, you want West side! I sit West

Mark, check all those Motels by the old Airport! Sure there might be some rooms! Otherwise you might have to stay downtown.

I usually stay on the loop or near the airport. It's still a short drive but the city is big enough they don't jack up the prices.
As for where to sit, it all depends on what you like. If I did reserve seats I'd likely sit about 100ft out but I do GA now so that I can sit with friends who come in from all over the place. You're at a race so there are no bad seats

Every time I went to Indy I stayed at the Marriott Courtyard by the Airport and I would also sit in the pit side stands section AA.

Oh YES !!! in a DRAGSTER is the very best seat. Randy wins, hands down.

I always sit on the East side, section cc row 7 to 12, perfect for me. Pro pits right behind me.
