Great article.. But in his last sentence where he asks someone to step up and buy NHRA, we have to remember that as far as I think I know, the schmucks running NHRA can control who they sell to.
Why would they tell Bruton no and HD Partners yes? I think it is because they knew Bruton would of cleaned house. I think they felt safe with the HD group.

Not when you look at who was on the list of Board Members for the HD Partners aquisition. That and the fact that Tom Comptom was going to be the head of the new company.Great article.. Until the racers stop supporting the NHRA nothing will change. And I'm not talking about the Pros. I'm talking about the Sportsman racers.Sadly, you are right on. But my prediction is the NHRA will throw some lip service at the problems, and nothing much will change at all.

NHRA currently has no motivation to please it's customers and membership, because they know they are the only major venue in the drag racing business. Sad, but true.
