Allen Johnson Secures New Deal will Race in 2016 and Beyond (1 Viewer)

Great news! With AJ's Dart there should be at least 4 Mopars in the sea of Camaros. Now if we could get some Mustangs in the mix it could be interesting...

From the Allen Johnson Racing Facebook page today..............

"Happy New Year everyone!! We know you are all wondering about what the future holds in 2016 for J&J Racing. We can tell you that we're working hard on 2016 plans but can't share the details yet... but maybe this is a good sign of what's ahead?"

Thanks for the update Lance!

Not yet. They pulled the "Marathon" part. Must have jumped the gun just a bit.

And that may very well be the case. Marathon Oil has lost more than 30% of it's value this year alone and their stock price is at levels not seen since 2003. Hopefully they appreciate/value the relationship that they have with Greeneville Oil & Petroleum and are still willing to fund his operation for 2016 and beyond.

It won't be Marathon Oil, it will likely be Marathon Petroleum. Marathon Oil is the Upstream company that would get no benefit with their name on the side of the car. Marathon Petroleum is the downstream Refining/Marketing business that sells gas, they are making nice money in this environment. The company split a few years ago into 2 separate publicly trading companies.
