I can conjure up all sorts of variations to a Championship points program and I am sure that a few thousand additional variations can be added to that. So maybe, just maybe, drag racing has to go back to its original system to take "team orders" out of the equation.. I know that other major sports have playoffs, but I do not know of any major sport where one owner has more than one team, except NASCAR. And I am reading rumblings about their problems..

I think the old KISS ( keep it simple stupid ) approach works best
