Between Joe and I we'll probably take enough photos to make you feel like you were there.
I'm going to snag the office video camera and shoot some footage, too, for our Web site.
Right now I am debating going to the Friday session ... weather.com is predicting 81 degrees. Hmm.

LOL. Great. Maybe you can explain what that thingy is that screws on the end of the lens.
We will see if I got media credentials for all three days ... but I really do have to make an appearance at Covington Days on Friday so I just don't think I can make it to the track. I'm planning to be at the track by 11 a.m. on Saturday but I'm going to be walking around the pits shooting photos, video and recording audio. Since I will be working, in a sense, and hauling equipment around I felt it best to get a media credential rather than use tickets. I just need to call my best friend and see if he wants to go with me Sunday. It's looking like I may be on my own for the weekend for the first time in four years. Weird.

Weather is awesome right now. Supposed to hit 80 today....weekend looks great too...they say no chance of rain for the next 7 to 10 days, so it will be dry. Maybe some cloud cover on Sunday...but will only make for better racing! Can't wait !

Yes, the parade is fun. I love the couple of days before the race. The excitement grows and grows. Than, you are there, and it all seems to go too fast. Wish it could be longer. Love the good times and all the friends!

For those of you who went to Seattle, did any of you see the plan land on the track? How about that!?! I was standing on the starting line talking with Jeff from Compulink and out of no where this small plane comes into view from over the trees and shots right over us and landed on the track! The pilot said it was an emergency landing, ran out of fuel, but I could have sworn that the engine was still running when he went over.
Ohhh well, either way it was a crazy sight and definately made for an entertain night
Hope all who went had a great time! Now it's on to Sonoma!

I didn't see it but I heard about it ... we posted something to our newspaper Web site about it after a local fire department spokesman posted to Twitter and Facebook about it.
I didn't get out to the track until Saturday morning. I was too busy Thursday and Friday.

It was still in at the end of the track all weekend, but they put up a green fence around it so you couldn't see it on TV. Wonder how they get it home...
